View Full Version : UPDATE ON MY DAUGHTER

It looks like my Christina will get to come home today after spending the night in the ER. The ER doctors all concur that her condition is viral and that she is doing all the right things and taking the correct meds. They opened her lungs up some with breathing treatments and will send her home with even more inhalers. Evidently it's not pneumonia, it's all bronchial and viral. All the antibiotics in the world won't help a virus. They are referring her to a pulmonary specialist for preventive measures after this virus has cleared up. ''

Thanks to everyone for your prayers. Please continue because she's a long way from feeling better.

Glad they found the reason that she is not feeling well and are able to treat her accordingly. Will keep Christina in my thoughts.

Hope she feels better soon.I know what she is going through. Been there a few years back and spent a week in the hospital.
A specialist will be able to help her.

Good to hear it is nothing more serious, but I know she has a rough time of it for a while. So happy she is able to be home and comfy as she recovers.

I'm so happy that Christina doing better and getting home today. This is what was going on with my granddaughter for the past 2 weeks. She had to take breathing treatments 3 times a day. Hugs, Genny

Thanks for the update--I tend to worry about my forum friends, since I can't check personally to be sure everything is okay, so its always good to hear a report. I'm glad she is able to be home--to me, that's the best place to recover. I'm thinking of her and of you.

I'm sure you're glad for some 'good news' even if wrapped in 'not so good news' - prayers continue till healing is done!

Barb, so glad they've diagnosed her. Bronchitis takes a while to get rid of. I was sick with it for over a month years ago, probably before nebulizers and home breathing treatments. Prayers for rapid recovery and healing, and peace for Christina's mom. It must be tough to be so far away. I'm sure the treatments will have her feeling better soon.

Barb, I didn't know. The lung doctor will be very helpful, did they tell Christina to get a nebulizer for at home? The breathing treatments are very helpful. I'm happy that she's getting better.

I'm glad she is able to be at home too. She will rest and heal better at home. Don't laugh, but homemade chicken soup is great for respiratory infections. Saying prayers for healing for Christina and rest for all.
