South Sound 911 elves save Christmas for Tacoma family | Crime | The News Tribune (http://www.thenewstribune.com/2014/12/25/3558624_south-sound-911-elves-save-christmas.html?rh=1)

One of my friends told me that they really raised $693 (this was all a last minute thing!) and no store employees assisted, not even after they were told the story of what happened.

I'm proud to know this group of people!

There are so many bad people in the world... but when you read stories like this or you know someone who did this kinda stuff... I feel there is hope and the world is still full of lovely and caring people!

What a great example of the generosity and caring of people. THESE are the stories that should be flooding our newspapers and radios. Bless their hearts and Pat, you are very right that they are a special group of people!

This is what should be reported on the news, not all the hate and crime that goes on.

Hiding gifts from kids can be tricky and in this case became a near tragedy. Thanks to these caring folks and their frantic efforts, a tragedy was averted. Thanks so much for sharing - it restores faith in humanity and news everyone needs to hear!!
