    12 days with Luli

    Luli is our newly adopted 12 year old Border Collie. She is ball obsessed, crazy about her teddy which she drops on our laps to get our attention and is the best dog ever!



    To mark her 12th day with us, I rewrote a well known little ditty…………..





    On the twelfth day with Luli

    My collie gave to me

    Twelve happy memories

    Eleven lovely kisses

    Ten laughs by grinning

    Nine barks for leaving

    Eight sardine belches

    Seven licks to love me

    Six chewed up biscuits

    Five rubber rings

    Four muddy feet

    Three smelly farts

    Two soggy balls

    And a teddy to go with my tea

      You do know, if truth be told, that SHE found YOU for the same reasons you and Stewart found her, don't you??????

      She is so beautiful. And you deserve recognition for your poetic powers.

            What a cutie! Sounds like you and Luli are adjusting to each other quite nicely.

            I'm still waiting for my daughter's 6 year old border collie to calm down and be decent to humans and other household pets and furnishings! Maybe it's a hopeless case with him!

                    I'm happy to hear that she is settling in. She is a beauty.

                    How is Seamus getting along with her? Has he taught her the neighborhood rounds yet? Has she gotten past the issue with the butcher?

                      She is such a good looking lady. I love your poem, it's so on the mark when we have fur babies. If I remember correctly, she had a few issues when out walking. Have these resolved? Sounds like it.
