I am after a tutorial for the above block.

it's a free pattern download on Craftsy. Just search lone starburst in patterns to find it.

It doesn't actually show how to make it, eg making the strips and how to cut them.

I think our forum member Renate has made this block. Perhaps she has some advice on how to do it.

It's a paper pieced block and Karen is right, you can find it free on Craftsy. If you don't know how to do paper piecing, there are some good tutorials for that on YouTube.

I just looked at the pattern. Find some tutorials on paper piecing, you tube is a good place to start. It may not help you with actually putting it together though.

I took a live class for the LoneStar Quilt and it was 2 four-hour sessions. I don't think I could have figured it out on my own.

There is a huge difference between a Lone Star Quilt and the Lone Star Burst block from Craftsy.
