I've been asked to teach a new class tonight and would like your opinion on which of these makes the better presentation.

It is a cupcake class with painted and embossed fondant. Thanks!

I love the second one. it looks like it should be at a tea table for Maria Antoinette .

IMO, the second one showcases the cupcake better. JCY

The one on the right, but they are both very pretty!

They are both lovely. I love bone china, so the one on the right appeals to me.

I agree with the others - the second one is beautiful.

Another vote for the one on the right - too pretty to eat though!!

(Does anyone ever tell you that your cakes are gorgeous?)

Jep, one more for the second one. It shows exactly what you will be teaching. The first one sort of hides the cupcake in the cup and you can't see it that well/it's not the focus of the presentation.

Both are gorgeous...but I like the one on the white plate shows best.

I like both, but I prefer the one on the white plate better.

I think you should go with the one on the right, and send me that gorgeous cup and saucer from the left photo! :) Beautiful.

They're both beautiful but I like the one on the right better. I like the simplicity of the white plate with the beautiful cupcake.

I agree with JCY. They're both lovely but I think the cupcake stands out more in the second one.

IMO, the second one showcases the cupcake better. JCY

Leave it to me to throw a kink in things ... I think the white plate shows off the cupcake better, but I also think that white plate is a little bit too big. It sort of dwarfs the cupcake.

Speaking of kinks, here is another one - Get rid of the fancy spoon.
I suggest a plain white plate and the single cup cake on it, no spoon, no napkin, no frills. This would ensure that the total focus is on the cupcake!!!

It looks amazing - very impressive!!!

I like them both, but the second one is really pretty.

I like the second layout. The first has too much pink in a smaller space. The second larger space really draws my eye to the cupcake.

I am different, I like the first one.

The second one. It really shows the cupcake. The first one has too much going on and distracts from the cake.

Thanks for all your input, going with your suggestion of the second one!

Both beautiful, but I like the white plate with the cupcake. Really shows all of the cupcake off! And - that is far too pretty to eat!

Yeah, what she said. You are very talented. Good Luck with the new class.
