Hi. My friend and I were in Hamilton to see all the new stores on June 6th and meet the nicest lady from California. She was driving around the country and had stopped in Hamilton to visit the stores. My friend and I ate lunch with her and she told us about her trip. She mentioned she was going to be driving on Route 66. We really enjoy getting a chance to talk with her and hear about her adventures, but now we are wishing we had gotten her e-mail address so we could say hi to her. Decided to try to say hi to her on here. So, Route 66 Lady, Linda and Rene say hi!

Welcome to the forum Linda. How lucky to have seen the stores - how was it to see all of them?

It will be great if the Route 66 lady sees this.

Hope to see you around here lots.

It's so much fun to go from store to store to store. All the people who work in the stores are so friendly. Love the small-town atmosphere. It's wonderful to see a small town flourish this way. One of my favorite day trips.

How fun that you met someone new and got to hear about her adventures. I hope she will see your post and respond.

Last year, I was finishing off a batik braid table runner for a swap here.
I just couldn't figure out how to border it off.
I brought it to my LQS, as class was getting out upstairs. YOWZER!
You know, timing is EVERYTHING! I had five woman pulling out bolts and auditioning fabric.
It was lovely.... ;)

I hope you find your Route 66 friend!

Can I come?

Sure! As long as you don't smoke. My mom and stepdad dove one with the the windows up and smoked the whole time :icon_bah:

If she's on here, she'll have to change her name to Route 66 Lady!

What fun for you and your friend seeing all the new shops in Hamilton and meeting and lunching with the Route 66 gal.
