Do any of you remember seeing a pattern for a small purse, about 9" by 6" with a zipper? I think it might have been made from small squares or charm squares. I want to make one for a friend and of course can't figure out where I saw it. Thought I had saved the pattern. :(

Newbie, doing a quick search for some patterns for you. I wasn't sure if you were talking about a free pattern or a purchased one so will post some things for both.
Have you watched Jenny's video on Sympoz for her tote bag? You could add a zipper to that as well for a zippered purse!

This is a big list of links to free patterns available on the web http://pursepatterns.com/free_bag_patterns.html I am going to add this one to my list of favorites for easy access to them.

These are purchased patterns http://www.quiltingconnect.com/Quiltedpursesandtotebagpatterns.htm

Thanks for the suggestions. There are a lot of interesting purses on the first site, I can probably make one of them work. Now I'm thinking I must have seen the pattern somewhere in a store but all I remember is the image of the purse.

Thanks for sharing these links! What a great resource for those of us who have a love relationship with hand bags and totes! I especially love the first link that has the step by step instructions. That gives me a chance to really preview a pattern. I made the mistake recently of ordering a purse pattern (and it was small with a zipper). It was absolutely the worst pattern I've ever worked with. Bad instructions and then the purse ended up have the seams exposed on the inside. I was very disappointed in it.
