Good Morning, Quilty Friends!

When I was little (just prior to the invention of the wheel) we lived in London, England, for 3 years, and I was introduced to a good deal of wonderful children's poetry by such authors as A. A. Milne, Eleanor Farjeon, and Robert Louis Stevenson. Here's one of my favorites:

"The world is so full of a number of things,
I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings."

Please don't think I'm minimizing anyone's troubles or heartache. Quite the contrary: "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." So, today I am thankful... well, because the alternative just seems so awful, and not to be thankful would be a sin, wouldn't it?

In the midst of the bad news all around us, I hope you'll be thankful today, too.

Blessings and hugs all around,
