View Full Version : Possibly Hopeful Adoption News

I hope you're not getting tired of hearing about this rollercoaster my family is on. DD Bethany got a call just now from C's social worker. We had been told a decision about C's custody would be decided by the end of this week. Now it is at the end of next week instead. BUT, they did tell B to stop C's transition to his Grammie Sue's house for now. That's a good sign in our favor. We feel like the state is making this as drawn-out and painful as possible. Please continue to pray for us, but especially for our precious little boy. May God's will be done.

well that does sound hopeful. prayers continue

Every little glimmer of hope is just that - HOPE!!! Prayers for the best solution to this situation and for you and your family to remain strong. . . and an answer more sooner than later!

I am hopeful that the State is seeing that they need to keep C's Best Interest in mind! We're all continuing to keep C and all of you and your family in our prayers and thoughts. We will not get tired of what you are going through, this is something you should not have to go through alone (((Cyndi)))!

Huggers and much love from The Schmers and Stegers.

That is encouraging. Will keep praying.

Prayers from here. May God's will be done for the best for this small child and all involved. May He comfort those that have a loss, because someone will have to give up custody here. If this is the next child for your family, may it all work out peacefully and soon. This heartbreak is what keeps me from being a foster mom! ....that and age!

Please don't think that we would get tired of hearing about what is going on. I for one think of you and your family each day; wondering what is going on, wondering if you have had a call and what the effect of the call may be having upon each of you. Please know that we care and I, for one, feel honored that you have shared so much of yourself with us. You and your family are in my prayers, each and every day.

May He comfort those that have a loss, because someone will have to give up custody here.Yes, we are praying for Sue, too. She calls B every day to ask for comfort from her. If B gets to keep C, then Sue will be a big, permanent part of his life as his grandmother. If Sue gets custody, B will not see him, but will receive pictures and notes occasionally. You can't be a former mother in the life of a child.

Cyndi........this does sound encouraging. Are the social workers aware of the changes in C while he is at the grandmothers? Hoping and praying the very best outcome for C and your family.........you'll & C have been through so much. Hugs to all of you. Don't worry about tiring us of this situation........we are here to support your family. :)

That is encouraging! Please don't stop the updates, I've been thinking of him often and hoping he gets to stay with your family.

April 17th, 2014, 02:57 PM
That does sound like a good turn. I'm not a prayer person but in this case I will deeply hope this comes out for the good of that little boy.

April 17th, 2014, 03:08 PM
I've been thinking of your family and that sweet baby. I truly wish Grammie would step out of way of this adoption and just be a grammie in his life.

Keeping you and your family in my thoughts daily.

April 17th, 2014, 03:13 PM
Sounds encouraging, hope the good news keeps coming.

April 17th, 2014, 03:51 PM
OMIGOSH! I sure hope you mean that he will stay with your DD for now? That HAS to be good news in her favour? Please do not stop updating us! I hope with every fibre of my being that he gets to remain with your family...this is such a good sign I think! And I think having him stay with your family with gramma involved would really be the very best for this little man. Let's hope for ONCE that the state institutions do the right thing!

I really hope they put the child's best interests first! I can only speak for myself but I am NOT tired of hearing about this - I'm on the edge of the seat, pulling-my-hair-out nervous. I hope hope hope this gets resolved soon and in your (and the child's!) favour.

Cyndi, I think about you and your family and wonder what is happening with C everyday so, no, we are not getting tired of the updates.
Glad to hear there seems to be an encouraging sign.

I am another one who does not get tired of hearing the updates. I think the holding up on the transition phase being stopped is a good sign. All we can do is pray and I certainly am praying for all of you.

April 18th, 2014, 01:19 PM
Thanks so much for the updates, Cyndi. I'm continuing to pray for all of you, and especially for your little man. My prayer is that he will get to spend his life as a permanent member of your family, but that Grammie Sue is also a loving part of his life. Seems to me that would be the best for everyone, including Sue and her household. Little man C will know that many people love him, and you can tell him in a few years that all his "quilty cyber-grammies" love him, too!
Blessings for a joyous Resurrection Weekend, my dear.

Cyndi, I think of your family often and pray that all the drama comes to an end soon, with a positive outcome for your family, Sounds to me like it would be in C's best interest, this way he has everyone he has grown to love and care about still in his life. This along with the stability of B's family will be a positive for the young guy. Please keep us informed.

April 18th, 2014, 04:12 PM
This does sound encouraging..... We'll keep praying.... Let's hope the state will see that it would not be in C's best interest to go with Grammie... Her situation really isn't a good one to bring a child into....

April 18th, 2014, 07:12 PM
Wonderful news Cydni - it certainly does sound hopeful. I will continue praying for you all. I was so hoping that Grammie Sue would have a change of heart herself, seeing that poor little boy cry for him Mommy constantly when he was away from her in GS's care.
Please keep us informed.

And here are some big (((((((HUGS))))))) for you girlfriend

April 19th, 2014, 03:45 AM
I agree, it really does sound hopeful. Do keep us all up to date with the progress.

April 19th, 2014, 03:51 AM
You and your family are on my heart everyday. Glad to hear updates whenever you have something to share - good or bad. I am encouraged by this latest news and will continue to pray.

April 19th, 2014, 03:59 AM
Thanks for the update, Cyndi! We are all very interested to hear how things are progressing. Just wish they would make a decision and stop dragging this out. I'm so glad they stopped the transitioning with his Grandma. That's just making is even harder on everyone. This going back and forth has got to be very painful for all of you and really hard on the child.

I keep checking this thread constantly for news...please don't feel like you can't talk to us. I am so very hopeful that C will get to stay with your family forever. All crossables crossed!! xox

I pray daily for this situation and am glad that you post here about this journey. It gives you a place to share and us a chance to pray and walk along side you as you go through this tough time.

But . . . I think it is a very hopeful sign that they have requested his transition with his grandmother be put on hold. Hugs!!!
