Another day, another 50 cents.

Well it was quite the day yesterday. Driving to work, I notice the high beam light on in the jeep. Strange, I did not have the lights on to begin with. Get to work, lights still on and I can't shut them off, because they were never on in the first place. Needless to say, battery went DEAD, got a boost to come home and now it is at the garage. So I am driving the Van which needs to go to the garage as well. OH LORD!!

Busy day at work, but sure makes the days go quicker. Hubby was having a VERY bad reaction to something. Bread he thinks. Big huge welts all over his body. It has been at least two years since he has had those. And no, he wouldn't go to the hospital. So what do you do? He did take benadryl and eventually it went away.

My baby quilt is just about done. I will be glad to get it finished. I will take pictures. Will have to sit down and finalize the box for my SS swap and get that mailed off. So many things to do and so little time.

60383 A little humour this morning.

Have an awesome day friends. BLONDIE WE NEED YOU BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning,

Monique, I love the pie chart. That's me in a nutshell! Sorry both of your vehicles are messed up right now. That's really stressful. Be extra careful driving the van.

It's raining here this morning. The Girls were reluctant to go out in it. Dottie wants us to hold an umbrella over her when it rains so she doesn't get wet when she goes potty! She came to us spoiled this way! Of course in California they don't have rain like we do.

I got a beautiful table runner and coasters in the mail yesterday from Alana. It was really a blessing because I was having 'one of those days'. I felt out of sync with my mind and body yesterday so I checked my blood sugar when I got home from Walmart and it was so low I'm amazed I was still conscious. Low sugar is more of a problem for me lately than high sugar. I think I will have to go on meds in the near future. Too much spiking and dropping and that's not good at all.

I'm still working on my Christmas gifties. I should finished the sewing today and then on to the embellishing. I have a few other Christmas gifts to make also.

We have a lot of serious situations going on in the lives of our members. My heart is heavy for so many of them. I pray that everyone will keep the faith.

Wishing everyone a good Tuesday...will check in later.....

Good Morning. Very busy day at work here. I only work 4 days a week and this week I am taking two days off to go on a short casino trip with my mom and sister. And now they are talking 2-4 inches of snow this afternoon... oh joy, the drive home should be just a nightmare. Seems everyone forgets how to drive in the snow around here.

Monique, be careful driving that van and hope your car troubles are over soon.

Bubby, the table runner and coasters you got are just beautiful. Becareful with that low blood sugar. I think mine is back to being too darn high. Was at the doctor yesterday and asked her to do an A1C, just not feeling right lately.

To top all that off, I was at the doctor yesterday for severe pain in my arm... tennis elbow...her recomendation... don't sew for a couple of weeks!!!! What, is she crazy, Christmas is coming.

Turning my mind back to work, will look in later.
Everyone have the best day they can.

Happy Tuesday!

I have been watching Hallmark movies in the morning, then chores, then work. I feel stress free the last few days.. Maybe it is thanks to Hallmark, or maybe it is from checking things off of my to-do list.

Running to the sewing machine guy today, I need to drop one of my machines off. It sounds like it is chopping wood. Not sure what is happening..hahaha

Good morning! I can sooo relate to Monique's pie-chart! I finished all the chores I had planned yesterday except the exercise bike, but I got enough exercise raking leaves to make up for that. Why does the wind always blow down more leaves when you're trying to git rid of what's already on the ground? I raked twice before burning the leaves late. I also finished the Christmas zig-zag mantle scarf too. It's small, but so is the mantle. It's looking like rain here today.

Good morning!

I fell asleep on the couch after dinner and just woke up. I am drinking my coffee and then I am off with Lil' Peter to go to my daughters to see what the kids want to do on their day off.

I got nothing done I wanted to get done last night. I hope everyone is doing well.

Prayers to all!

Good morning......

Thanks Monique....now I know why I have fabric and no clue what to use it for :)

I didn't work yesterday but was up early and went to the top of the reservoir near us.....and took a picture of the sunrise. The sky was absolutely beautiful:

I'm actually looking at this and thinking "why couldn't I make a quilt sort of like that"

Jim is going to be late getting home tonight so I have some me time.....and I will be working in my sewing room. I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet...maybe just cleaning it up some. Those projects can really take over a room quickly - they lose their threads and throw scraps everywhere!

Well need to get back to work...have a wonderful day! Prayers and hugs.

Got to get to the PO today and then the rest of the day sewing, ripping and stitching and hopefully no bee-itching. It feels so good to be back working there and making some progress, albeit gradual. Looking at Shirley's picture above I was thinking of making a quilt like that and had visions of searching for orange fabric . . . and then reality hit me and I remembered I have no room and have a stock-pile of quilts planned . . .

Guild last night. You know all about Tula Pink, right? Her family's quilt shop was about 14-15 miles from me and they closed about a year ago and went on-line/mail-order. Anyway, we have a 'celebrity' quilter in our guild (Carl Hentsch) - well, you've probably never heard of him but he's been getting published and winning awards and we do tell him his head is getting bigger. Long story short (don't believe that from me, huh?) the shop GAVE Carl all their unsold books, patterns, magazines, supplies for him to share with the quilt guild . . . FREEBIES. Came home with a couple magazines I hadn't seen, an arm-load of books, and about a dozen of those patterns in zip-lock sleeves, a package of grommets (just needed some last week and didn't want to run to the store for them!!) . . . and then my Secret Pal gift was a framed machine-embroidered quilt block that says Quilt Diva, along with a Moda turnover "The Carolers". I was in quilt dreaming heaven for a bit.

Heading out - have a great day and remember that Blondie needs smiles, too!!!

Kelly . . maybe thats what I need to do -- before I go shopping at Sams or BJ's club

G'morning all . .

well hubby is back to work . . I really can't believe it's only been two weeks since his surgery . . the man is just to loyal to his job . .
we'll chat about his job later *grrr*~ . . . anyway . . . Charles is doing great -- all his dr's can't believe how he is popping back so quickly -- although I have to keep reminding him NOT to over work the left side of his body . .

now for my little shopping trip . . I could hold my hand to the bible to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth
and write a book on my life and NO ONE would believe it . . LOL*~

I decided to get a one day pass at Sam club . . I think everybody and their brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandpop grandma, neices and nephews was let loose from church early on Sunday . . so I walk around picked up a few thinks . . looking for the items we need all the time . uuuummm eeeer -- wrong answer . . . the crowd was just not for me that day . . . so I left my buggy there and out the door I went . . headed down to Bj's -- picked this up . . picked that up . . had my Happy happy happy buggy full of all kinds of goodies . . .did you know that electric razor are now a 100 Bucks . . HOLY SMOLY . .
well, I jumped in line to check out . . while unloading the Happy Buggy . . the young man was telling me about the 2% rewards program . . told him I will chat with hubby about it . . . so off I go -- lady the door checking my rec't and -- asking where on my rec't was the boundary paper towels listed . . I told her it was either 1st or last on the list . . . then she asked how much it was . . told her I didn't know . . 18 - 19 bucks . . something like that . . .then she says . . well I know you were having help in the ---self check out line -- . . I said . . no ma'am. . . that young man over there check me out . . by then there were at least 6 peeps behind me waiting to get out the door . . . I said to the lady . . just what are you insinuating? . . . she got a bit loud . . sooooooooo Diane got loud right back . . I told her . . Look if the paper towel are not on the rec't . . give me the rec't and I will go pay for them . . but don't insinuate something that is not going on here . . . so off I went to pay for the paper towels . . . then back down to the door for her to check the rec't again . . . OMG . . she sure didn't know how to keep her mouth shut . . she was still insinuating I was going to get away with taking something out the door without paying for it . . . OH NO YOU DON"T . . . I got sooooooo far in her face -- she took several steps back . . . I believe she got the picture . . . . that lady was lucky that I didn't cuss her out on top of it . . L*~ . .
really . . I can't remember everything I said . . I was so hot under the collar . . but I do know that I didn't say -- not one cuss word . . L*~

so after that little highlight of a Sunday afternoon -- I was not in a cooking mood . . hubby was happy with Arbys . . . My Charlie Boy is such a good man . . I truly truly believe he was God sent :)

and I do . . truly truly appreicate everyone of you that keep him in prayer before during and after his surgery . .
you peeps *tears*~ have sooooo much love in your hearts -- you all are so Blessed

ya'll ""Make it"" a good day

Nice day today, getting ready for my small quilt/book club meeting here tonight. Haven't used the dining room in awhile so how come it got so dusty? Setting the table for coffee, tea and dessert after the discussion part of our meeting. Usually put out my collection of china cups, saucers and cake dishes but the everyday Pfaffgraff goes nicely with the fall table clothe I put down.

Drying off from my shower, a few more chores to do and then DH and I are going to vote.

Good Luck Monique with your jeep, hope it doesn't cost too much to repair.
Shirley, such a beautiful sunset = yes you should try to capture it on a quilt.
Sandy hit the jackpot of books, etc.
Lisa enjoy your day with DD and family
and everyone else, be and feel good.

Good morning! Day 4 of staycation! Let's hope it goes better than day 3. I had a pain in my side all day yesterday, just under my right rib, it was kind of spasmy. Well I endured it all day thinking it would go away...but it never did it just seemed to get worse. I should interject here that I can get a little anxious about things and tend to suffer from anxiety. But usually can keep it under control. Well it just kept after me and I just kept filling up with air that I was swallowing when I was freaking out about it. It ended up that I had DH take me to the hospital as I feared it was something worse. Now let me just say, in the last 25 years I have only been to the hospital to have my children..I in fact haven't ever been admitted to the hospital our insurance is at...so I am not a freak about things. I genuinely was concerned. Well they did a ultrasound and X-rays on my stomach and my gallbladder and appendix everything looked good. Blood work was good...great in fact they said. Nothing there. They did say there was a small cyst or lesion on my liver I need to tell my primary dr about. But that most likely not cause of pain. I asked if it could be a pulled muscle and he said there were lots of muscles in the abdomen and in fact could be it. So anyway after a 4 hour trip we came back home. The pain is still there today, mildly...nothing like yesterday...so who knows. After a 200.00 copayment....at least I know I can ignore it.....as was my intent yesterday morning but just couldn't seem to get something terrible happening out of my mind.

So I guess you can start calling me crazy mary!!

Anyway hoping day 4 is better!! Everyone have a great day!!!
