As requested by a few of you, I am all too happy to share a little more of his art. Joshua is VERY creative and talented. He plays guitar (self taught) loved to sculpt in high school, has a degree in graphic arts, and is currently working on some pieces for an art show he plans to hold in the near future. Here are a few pieces for that, it's very "industrial" and all pieces are pretty big. For these he used all recycled materials, like packing peanuts from his work, and wood scraps from a crate he took apart. So....here you go:

59504 This is a self portrait. The original is a stipple (dots of varying blacks and grays to make up the picture) but this one is done with Styrofoam pieces, 1-2" in black and white.

59505 This says something in German, and I can't remember right now what he told me. The frame of the picture is, you guessed it, quilting squares he got from a book I loaned him, and it's all put together in pieces of newspaper. The following is a close up of that work:
59506 You can see the detail of the newsprint.

59507 Just the frame.

59508 This is actually his arm. A tattoo, the piece is about 3 feet tall. Ink.

Your son is a true artist, very impressive!

59505 This says something in German, and I can't remember right now what he told me.

It says: Stop looking. Itīs senseless.

He's truly an artist. I was so impressed with his pumpkin carving, I ran to get my Bob Marley music! His work is amazing.

Totally amazing! He's definitely got a lot of talent, that's for sure! And I love that he used a quilt pattern for one, how cool is that?
