... For not posting "Thanks" yesterday!! No excuses as we are ALL busy.

Today I am thankful for the lovely local church that has agreed to be the venue for my DD#5's wedding! The sanctuary where my DH serves as pastor does double-duty as classroom space for our Christian school, and even if we were able to clear out the desks, bookshelves, and a/v equipment, and strip the walls of multiplication charts and maps of the Middle East, there still wouldn't be enough room for all the guests.

My DIL#3 suggested I call the church where my DGS age 3 just started pre-school. They were so nice; I explained the situation, and the pastor is going to let DH officiate. They normally don't let someone they don't know come in to do that, but DD#5 really wants her dad to both perform the ceremony and walk her down the aisle. If DH doesn't walk her down, then DD would have to choose one of her 6 brothers, which would be a difficult decision... and if they ALL escort her down the aisle, I'm afraid the groom would either pass out or run away in terror!! :icon_giggle:

I'm also thankful to have finished the quilting for the quilt I'm making for DD#6's college friend's bridal shower, because this week was crazy-busy at my house, and every evening when I thought I'd get it done, something came up, until last night. As soon as the binding's done, I'll post pics.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
Blessings,
~ (the late) Sally \0/

Oh Sally, Sounds as if all is working our for DD#5's wedding. What a great thing to have her Dad walk her down the aisle and then for him to perform her wedding ceremony. I agree, having her 6 brothers escort her down the aisle would make the groom head for the hills.

Thankful this week that family is all OK and no big problems hanging over us.

What a beautiful wedding this will be without a dry eye in the house. I had to giggle with your comment about the 6 brothers. I have known my hubby since I was 12, I am about to be 43. My hubby has yet to meet 2 of my brothers that have lived out of state for 15 yrs. When we were first married I came home one day to hubby standing there, arms crossed and this, "tell me you have a brother named Mark that would leave you weird mushy messages!" I just laughed. I have always refereed to my brother Mark as Marco and he always calls my cell and frankly I didn't even know he had the house number. So I walked straight to the machine, hit play and heard, " it's Mark, I miss you, I love you, I don't want anything except you to leave that guy and come live here, love you!". No wonder hubby was irked. He lives in Florida and it is a joke that I will ever live there.

No No No No No Sally, you are not late! You are (better late than never) If you were late you would no longer be with us here on earth!
All those daughters of yours reminds me of an old movie - "All My Darling Daughters" That guy had to walk all 4 of his down (one at a time) on the same day!
Sounds like it will be lovely!
I am Thankful today and every day!!!
