View Full Version : To Any of You Involved in the Banking Industry

Ok, here is the lowdown, short and sweet. I live in Iceland and I had bought my Grandma's house on contract in 2009, in Iowa (for a future retirement home). I have until June 2014 to pay off the house.

Does anyone know of any LEGITIMATE ways or places that I could get a bank loan to pay off the contract? Since I live here, I don't know where to look. I cannot get one here to buy a home in the US, plus our banking system still is not in the best shape.

I can't count on the lottery....

By any chance are you a member of a credit union in the States or is there any way that you could join one? You can often get financing through them. I wish I could remember who I went through when I originally financed my house, the guy did most of the paperwork online. The only issues I can think you might run into is when you have to sign something, they like it in person.
