Good Morning, dear ones

Feeling almost human, the sky is getting a bit lighter as I sit here. I am not working today. I will be finished with the strong z pak thing tomorrow. I am planning on being super bubbly tomorrow. I can sit up, I can almost speak without croaking like a froggie and I think I can taste my coffee. Things are looking up. Yay for me. Yay for dr's and their miraculous medicines.

I have really missed my sweet Mom this week. It is hard not getting my hugs in daily and sigh, I think I have passed this horrible condition on to hubs. He has been such a good nursemaid for me that he is now feeling the impact of his compassion. I have always liked winter, but, between the snows, my daddy's passing and now this wretched whatever it has been, it makes even the most joyful person - me - kinda feel like the joy has been trying to get sucked right outta me! Tomorrow will be better. I promise.

Trish, glad that you heard from our Odie. And as for your precious man, I can only say that I am hurting for him. And you. I understand exactly what you said about winning and losing.

Sandy, about the gingham. Been there, done that and I believe that your GD will love it, drag it around and makes loads of happy hide aways with it. You're a good egg.

Gina, hope you are feeling better. I couldn't wait on Jenny and her chicken soup but I did take some of that wonderful homemade deliciousness out of my freezer and it is better for the age.

I know I am leaving loads of folks out - Sewsoft, I hope you are doing better. I know it comes and goes. Enjoy the going and pray through the coming. I am standing with you, steadfast, thanking the Lord for you daily.

Be happy today, I am!

Good morning, Blondie! I am so glad that you are feeling a little more chipper, and hope that the Son-shine is evident around you today! Signs of spring are everywhere, the most exciting sight is the little green leaves announcing my tulips are awakening. So a tough winter is almost over.
For me, the week has been a tough/"rejoicing" roller coaster.
We said 'so-long' to our very first MO friend on Tuesday at a celebration of his life. We rejoiced in the reality of life he now is experiencing and the hope of glory we have, but it is so hard to be left behind. His children will miss him greatly, and his wife needs our prayer as she finds new footing. The service was quite honoring.
I hope your DH has the bug lightly and that you soon visit with your mom again. Until then, have a wonderful day and know we're praying for you.
Love, Debi

Alarming, isn't it? Last week was New Years and here we are in March. I am so very ready for spring. My Mom used to say "Spring is sprung, the grass is riz, I wonder where the flowers is."

Okay, Blondie, sure hope you are recovered and hope LL doesn't have anything worse than a sniffle. In all honesty, I hate when Al is down with something - he's like a big baby - but he's like Larry as he is the perfect nursemaid when I need him. Go figure.

Debi - hard to put our friends to rest, isn't it? I do so like it when they call it a celebration of life though. Prayers for the wife left behind - I cannot imagine how I'll go on when my mate is gone. I hope I don't have to find out for a very, very long time. We were just hugging in the hallway wishing we could turn back the clock about 40 years.

Trish, prayers still with you and yours - I'm sure Odie will be up and at'em soon. Hope, being as young as he is, that he doesn't over do his activities too soon. Hug Dear Hubby and let him know there are people supportive of him.

Anyone else out there need a hug? Sending them your way. I'm off to take my oldest granddaughter to work this morning, will run to the nursing home to see my Mom (she'll be 95 in three weeks) and then perhaps a quick run into my favorite thrift store before picking Amanda up to take her home.

Cheers!!

Blondie glad you're starting to feel better. I so enjoy your post each day. They actually get my day started on a good note. They are like the hugs and kisses I get from oldest grandson before he leaves each morning to go to day care.

Sandy I enjoy your post as well. They are just as good.

Trish I hope things go well with your son and I continue praying for you as you two are apart.

Hope everyone has a great day and enjoy the spring like weather. After all the sone you guys have received I know you love this weather.

Blondie: I love you pictures and your posts. The friend saying is beautiful. I don't post here very often so not many know me. I find the computer sucks my time up so bad, I just kind of read here and there and pop in when I can. I can lose two hours in the morning so fast and then wind up with no time to sew. :( It's sunny here in Alberta, Canada, but still -20C. I am tired of the deep freeze and have been stuck in the house for the whole week with only a short jaunt out daily to feed the donkeys. Even the cats are getting cabin fever and scrapping with each other. lol And my two day quilt class to do the Wever Fever quilt was cancelled and choir was cancelled last night too! It is supposed to warm up tomorrow though. Well you ladies have a wonderful day. And Happy Quilting to all!

Hey there!
Blondie: I am glad you are starting to feel better. I hope Gina, Lin, and their families are on the road to recovery too. I think all guys revert to toddlers when they are sick. They will do OK when there isn't anybody around, but pull out all of the stops if there is an audience. Nobody has ever had disease X as bad as they have it right now. If I didn't love him, I'd kill him when he is sick.
Debi: It is never easy to have our friends leave us. Cherish the memories and rejoice in what he brought into your life.
Sandy: Travel safe!
Lynne: It sounds like you will have to enjoy the spring weather for some of us! It's raining here, and it sounds like poor Wendy is dealing with an arctic freeze! BRRR!
Wendy: I have no idea how you manage in that kind of weather! I too can loose time while I sit here at the computer. I've started giving myself a time limit. I try to keep it to 30 minutes or less, a few times a day, depending on if I need a break from what I am working on or not. At least then, I can get other stuff done!

I am still waiting on a trip to the QS for some solids to finish the Objects of Desire quilt. But, I pulled out another long overdue UFO and made a good start on it yesterday. I'll take an other whack it this afternoon while Em is in preschool. 2.5 hours of quiet house! Whoo Hoo!
Speaking of which, I need to go rouse the little miss for her speech therapy marathon day. She is soooo not a morning person! Takes after her mom that way. At least I have stopped flailing about and whining while getting dressed.
You all take care today!
Cathy

Sounds like you've had a very rough time, Gina. I can certainly understand a bit of what you've been through. I've been through this with two friends. One of my dear friends lost her husband Christmas morning the year before we moved to California. He died in bed of a major heart problem. He left Donna with two very young children. It's been quite a road she's travelled, but she's a survivor and raised three wonderful daughters. (The third child is much older and from her first marriage.)

Another friend's husband died on the soccer field during a game in the park down the street from my house. An awful shock to all of us who knew him. He died in front of both his sons. It was an awful tragedy. Both of these men died at around 39 years old. So young. It's absolutely heartbreaking. They were such wonderful people - good husbands, good dads. Life just isn't fair at times. I'm so glad that I became friends with these ladies and have been a friend through these many years since their husbands died. Gina, I really hope you have loved ones/family/friends who are able to give you the love and support you need.

Hi everyone!
Glad to hear you are getting back on track Blondie! I missed your chipper good mornings too!
Oh Gina - you sound like you are a strong person. I'm glad that you have us to come to -
So you are moving? Let us know and we'll cheer you on when that come up. I hope you have lots of help to move your things. Spring is almost here so maybe that will help with the weather and all.
Have to write some bills tonight I suppose. Want to keep the roof over our heads. Guess I'll do the church bulletins tonight too and get those done. And those darn taxes. Too bad they can't just go away. They get ya coming and going.

Looking forward to talking to Odie tonight. Just like hearing his voice. You can tell alot by how they feel just by listening.

Well, off for now. Oh yeah - my hubby is a big baby too when he gets sick.
Hugs,

I had a hard time getting on here tonight! I got some kind of error that said there was a security risk. Then it said it was a writing error then I got another page that said either I spelled Missouri star wrong, or I got an old link, and to please email and tell them. Well, I can't email out. I can receive emails. Finally I caught the last page and it had community on it so I clicked and got on. I hope that hasn't happened to anyone else. Weird!
Anyway, I thought "OH NO" no Missouri Star Quilt Co? I can't go without my girls! Help!
I asked Gina on facebook if she could get on but she wasn't online. whew! Thank goodness I got here anyway.
Blondie it's good to know you are better. It sounds like you had the flu and not just a little episode either. God Bless Larry and I hope he doesn't get it as bad as you. They said on the news that in the last 2 weeks the hospital has had 70 cases of in patient treatment for flu victims. And that March and April can see an upturn in the flu. I never got my shot this year. It's good I don't see people that often.
Trish how is Odie doing? Prayers are coming at you for everyone. Love you.
Gina sounded terrible when I talked to her today. We had a lovely conversation though. Gina I hope you feel better too. I'm praying for both you and
Abbey.
Prayer for everyone in need. Missed you guys, Love, Jan

Thank you all for the prayers! My baby girl is on an upward mend, and now my oldest son's got the fever, and I too, Blondie, gave it to my hubby. We're pushing through it and rejoicing in the little things. Boy, things are getting busy and I've been so busy to really read posts and quilt. Eventually I'll binge quilt until like 2 in the morning. That's just how it rolls around here, I guess. I've got to feel better first though.
Nighty night! Sleep tight!

Wow, what a nice treat to come back and see all of these pretty colors. Hugs to everyone- One BIG hug around the world.
Blondie - Your right I have to take it one minute at a time. Today was a little better than yesterday.
Gina- Here's a Squeeze hug ( you know the kind when a person hugs you and your heels lift ever so slightly off the floor and your trying to take another breath.) aahhh. It's nice to be able to have someone to say hello to on sleepless nights.:icon_wave: Talk to you all later today.

Jan, I was told it wasn't the flu; they did the swab thing. Whatever it was it came from the pits of Hades.
Sewsoft, it is always good to see you!!!!!!!!
Gina, hang tough. You are an overcomer.
