Today, I ventured over to Horse Guards Parade to watch Trooping the Colors in celebration of the Queen's official birthday. I managed to get some pictures, but unfortunately I was unable to see the Queen and the royal family arriving in the royal carriages. Once the horses entered the scene they blocked much of my view! An allergy attack and cold hands from standing outside for two hours sent me back to the flat. Joe arrived home from his business trip to Norway and suggested we go to the roof to see the fly by. So cool!

Oh, thanks for sharing. Love the fly-by pictures the most though. I've been lucky enough to attend the 'changing of the guard' at one time. Can't imagine how crowded this celebration could be.

Very impressive fly by display.

Funny note, our DGD Catherine was about 7 years ago when we made our first trip to Lond. When telling her and the family about going to the castle to see the changing of the guard we said that the Queen wasn't in residence at that time. Catherine thought is was very rude of the Queen not to be there when we came to visit, guess she thought the Queen should have had us over for tea, LOL!
