look at the bottom of your comment there should be a button that says edit post you will only see it on your posts right besides reply and reply with quote.

I just went back and checked on my first reply and there is no edit but I just left another comment and the edit is there but it will be there for just a short time.

After a time the edit option goes away.

You will have to ask a Mod about deleting it for you.

I believe we only have the edit option for 30 minutes...then it leaves.

I wish that edit would stay on there. By the time I figure I put my foot in something I shouldn't or misspelled something it is gone.

Yes, it would be nice if it didn't disappear. Best to re-read your post one last time to make sure you're happy with it.

The reason the edit goes away is to keep people from saying something they shouldn't and going back and deleting it after they've already stirred up trouble. As others have said, reread before you post and think about what you are saying and how it might be taken before you hit enter.

Sorry ladies but at my age sometimes rereading don't help. I try to check all my posts but like I said some times I don't catch all my mistakes in time. Just human I guess. I try not to say or do the wrong thing and I wouldn't hurt any ones feeling knowingly.

Well I don't think you said anything wrong so I wouldn't worry about it. :)

Ann, I went out this morning and looked at your posts and I saw absolutely nothing that anyone should take offense at . . . now I often go back and see a glaring grammatical or spelling error - sometimes after the EDIT has expired . . . and I try NOT to do that.
