So, I was at Joann's bright and early for the 1/2 price clearance and to take advantage of my employee discount.

Here's what I came away with:

http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa479/Milligans1973/07F5E0F5-BBD5-4A73-8442-DEF1D9437BE5-15940-00001842841EC0BB_zpsca526846.jpg (http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Milligans1973/media/07F5E0F5-BBD5-4A73-8442-DEF1D9437BE5-15940-00001842841EC0BB_zpsca526846.jpg.html)

93 bolts of fabric in various lengths. Some of the bolts only have a little over a yard, some are full bolts, most are in between. I didn't pay over 2.45 a yard for any fabric.

Here's my total savings:

http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa479/Milligans1973/D3BA30AF-8567-4A5A-8BB2-44CA5A8F2311-15940-000018428B755233_zps6861c149.jpg (http://s1199.photobucket.com/user/Milligans1973/media/D3BA30AF-8567-4A5A-8BB2-44CA5A8F2311-15940-000018428B755233_zps6861c149.jpg.html)

I won't say what I spent, but my total savings was way more than what I spent.

Get to Joann's and shop!!! Even with sale prices, and memorial day savings, you can save a lot!!!

Holy cow. I thought I bought a lot when our little WM was closing, to move to the new super center, and had a bunch of fabric at $1 a yd. I got some great stuff, but only bought 57 yds. Or it might have been a total of 92 between 2 days. I just know it was a lot. But dang, you out shopped me by a mile, lol. Congrats on your haul. My addy is in my user notes if your kids feel you need to get rid of some ;)

Where the heck is argyle?

And if I were going to be in town that weekend, I would say come on over- that's my grandmas birthday as we always spend it in Tulsa where she's buried. I'll be home the 18th and 19th though!

Yes. I bought 2 large packs. And I am going to *try* to color coordinate it.

I was just kidding. :) But I can see where it would save space. The bolts are thick. I have mine on them but I had to organize by themes, Hawaiian, Asian, polka dot, checks, animals etc. My stash would be chaotic if it was by color. lol

Show a pic when your done!

You know you actually saved twice as much. The red tag price was about half of the original price. The fabrics I bought were originally $10.99 to 12.99. The red tag price was $6. Half off that is $3 and then the additional 10% off total purchase coupon brought it down to $2.70 per yd. Then you got your employee discount. My total receipt was $74 with savings of $91. I even got a couple of pieces with a red tag price of $4 - which ended up being $1.80 after discounts. Now if I could just buy the time to make all these quilts :icon_beuj:

One day Ive got to find out if Casa Satin, or Silky brocades make good quilts LOL Oh man O man, if that much fabric found it's way to my house I'd have to get another man LOL hm this one cooks, cleans, AND let's me just sew... versus more fabric and add all the other stuff back... Naw, I've got a keeper.

But I STILL want to look at it all!!! Ohhh just a dang PEEK at a few pretties :-)

Memorial weekend is going to be VERY hard to stay out of the fabric stores... sew, sew, cut and sew and don't look at all the on-line sale coupons..... no n o nooooooooooo :-) I'll just have to enjoy your new fabric!

One day Ive got to find out if Casa Satin, or Silky brocades make good quilts LOL

I bet either one or both of those would work well in a Crazy Quilt with the embroidery or special stitches on top.

As for that haul, impressive. Getting it home wouldn't be the issue, finding a place to put it all would be the problem.

I'm slowly sorting through it and will take some pictures.... Haven't been ignoring y'all, we went to the lake to visit family yesterday and stayed the night (although I pouted and told DH I would MUCH rather be HOME playing in the sewing studio....).

He never asked what I spent, just merely stated he wasn't helping fold fabric onto little white boards!
