View Full Version : I did the dumbest thing today

May 17th, 2013, 02:42 AM
I went to town to buy some matching fabric for a quilt I want to make ( for me :) ) and stopped at Wally world for some flowers and toilet paper. Easy right? I get home and opened it up and it was paper towels. lol

I swear, what a dingbat moment.

We all have "blonde" moments!
I find it happens when I'm trying to do one thing and thinking about what I am going to do next.
At least what you bought are useful !!

Too funny; I usually go to the store to buy one thing, get home and I will have a bag full, and forget to get the thing I went to the store for in the first place!

Lorie, I too have done things like that while shopping. I get so caught up in my list and menu for the week, that I forget sometimes, to get the one thing I needed most. And I have a LIST!! LOL
Welcome to my world darlin! It can't be a "blond" moment, my hair is all grey! HA! So there!:icon_heh: Blame it on your Hormones. You either have too many or not enough. Works for me! My Hubby says, "how come when you go to the quilt shops you never forget anything!?!" I tell him, "My hormones must be clicking on all cylinders when in a quilting shop. Not to mention, grocerys are work, and fabric is fun!"
He had to agree with me as he used to do the shopping. Ha! Love and Hugs, Jan L.

But,the important thing is.... Did you get the matching fabric?

Just today? I do stuff like that ALL the time. Welcome to my world.

I did! That was my last stop of the day so I spent some time in there. I surprised myself with what I picked out. Purple! I'm so not a purple person but it matched so well! Cutting from my stash so I will have to get my math hat on. lol

Probably the safest thing. I know when I read this post last night I thought "Ouch!"

It's not so bad

You just have to get it down to a manageable size.

Too funny love it!!! Worst thing is going food shopping and forgetting the list...I did that and called hubby to recite the list over the phone...never again I will never live that down...

I so this kind of thing all of the time - at least you remembered the most important thing - the fabric! I get to the fabric store and get distracted and end up with lots of other fabric for new projects and forget what I went there for and then have to go back.....

Ah yes, the fabric :) The ladies at this one shop are so nice. They always give me a discount! I brought my fabric in on my comic cards, they didn't notice lol, but how easy to lay it all out. These cards were such a great investment!
