Although it could use a coat of stain in some areas I am very pleased with the way it turned out. DH is going to make a second one for another spot in my kitchen. :) I am a happy camper!!!!

Looks great! I wish I had someone that could come in and make me a shelf that runs around my office, about 12" down from the ceiling. It would be a great place to store some books and knick-knacks up and out of the way.

Isn't it wonderful when you've got someone who can customize just what you need for the space and needs?

Love it!!

He did a fantastic job Give that man a hug. I envy anyone who can do furniture making, that is one thing my hubby and I both suck at carpentry. I'll keep to my sewing, although I used to love to refinish furniture we found in the secondhand stores and flea markets.
I would love to live in the cabin that goes with that piece :icon_bigsmile:

Thank you all for your comments. I have told DH how much you all like it. He says it's crude and nothing special....but I sure do love it.

Well now, Daniel is just being modest. I love this kind of rustic furniture. Some day I hope to visit you in your cabin on Crazy Mountain.

I love it! It's very well made! Tell him he did a wonderful job! And of course it's something special, he made with his own hands, that's always special! Buying furniture like that is for everyone else!

I love it, much nicer than the mass produced commercial kitchen cabinets. A place for everything and everything in its place. Can I borrow him for a couple of weeks!!

This is very smart! Well done both of you. In the UK we would call that a dresser. Possible a welsh dresser although they usuall have cupboards as well as draws. Looks like you can pack a pile a 'stuff' into it! thats what I need.

I shudder to think of what he would call my carpentry skills if that is "crude"!
I can build an animal shelter that withstood a tree falling on it, but it looks like a hovel. That cabinet is quite lovely!

Nice job Mr. Daniel of Crazy Mountain!
