I really like the Missouri Star Quilt Co, especially the tutes. But the search box does not work on the tutorial section, and if I search for a tute on the home page, I get a message it can't be found. Other than scrolling through pages and pages of tutes, how do you find a particular one?
I'm looking for the tute on Jacob's Ladder, but really want to know how to work the search function. Thanks!

Here you go, I've never had any luck with the search on the tutorial page so I just look for them or go to you tube:

I made this quilt for my mom....easy!

Hello there!

I know it can be kind of frustrating trying to find a tutorial, and when you search it comes up empty or not what you are looking for. I find that the best way to find a tutorial from MSQC, is by going to youtube. Here is their homepage on youtube by clicking here (http://www.youtube.com/user/MissouriQuiltCo).

Also, if you are searching on there, you'll see this to the right: http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/1380/18cbc43853cf446199eb0dc.png

Click inside that box, and type in Jacob's Ladder. Now once you enter that in, a few videos may come up. Not sure why that happens, but it normally does. I'm thinking it's because it's connected by tag names or something, but not entirely sure. :) Here's what I see when I search Jacob's Ladder:

The one to the far right is the Jacob's Ladder video tutorial.

Now say if you are looking for something, you search for it and it doesn't always come up? Try using different key words, like if you know the name of it and it doesn't want to come up, try using pre-cuts name. Like if you know the quilt is made with using charm packs, put the word charm in the search box and see if it comes up.

Also, another good tip is using capitalization and what not, because sometimes that makes a difference too. Like for instance, I tried searching jacobs ladder, and it didn't come up and when I tried Jacob's Ladder it came up in the search results on this page: MSQC Tutorial Page (http://quiltingtutorials.com/?s=Jacob%27s+Ladder)

Have fun, and I hope this helps you out by searching on youtube on their page. :)

I have the same issue when attempting to use the search to locate tutorials. I don't want to have to go page by page each time I want one. So I sat myself down and went through all of them. I wrote down the names of the ones I want to use and added the page number next to each name. Now I just have to refer to my glossary and I find the turorials instantly.

I have been making sample blocks to keep as a reference kit to help me decide what I want to use when making a new project. I make notes about each block and how easy or hard it was to make. This method works well for me. :):):)

I go to Youtube.com and then put in MSQC Tutorial (name of quilt), and usually the tut pops up.

Thank you all for your assistance. It just seems like having to go to You Tube is a cumbersome way to get to a tute, but I do appreciate you all seeking it out for me. I was trying to use the search box on the tutorial page of MSQC: http://quiltingtutorials.com/ Why even bother to have a search box if you can't type anything into it?

Al knows the search function is messed up on the tutorial page and is working on something better. It just takes time.
