I have worked for a lot of years.........16 years at this job........but now it is time to enjoy some of the things in life.......I have sewed for a lot years at work ........from that I have arthritis bad in my hands.....as well as other joints.......but I guess at 62...63 next month...I can expect that.......so now the sewing I will be doing is the fun stuff....they cooked steaks with all the trimmings.....at lunch.......gave me some nice cards.....with money in them....and one of the guys and his wife gave me this squirrel feeder and one of the ladies and her husband gave me the bird house.....I Love my presents.......
Now I can also spend more time on here too !!!!!!!!

You will love it. I retired 7 years ago at the age of 55, so you and I are the same age, I think. What you need to do is to make sure you stay busy. Doing nothing is boring. Either garden, quilt, paint, or whatever you like, but make sure you do it everyday. Also, going on small day trips with your hubby is good, too.

Congrats!!! I retired last May and have enjoyed every stress-free day since. Took a "bucket list" trip last summer, organized closets and cabinets, de-cluttered accumulated "stuff" and have that precious commodity "time" tyo quilt, sew, knit, read .... Like is good!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a GREAT feeling that must be! Wow!

I canNOT WAIT until I retire. Only 18 more years to go! uhg. Although, there is NO mandatory age of retirement here...and with my debt load I'll be 95 and still working, eating cat food and living in a cardboard box! Glad you got to retire a bit earlier than the standard! ENJOY!!

Great for you. Enjoy your new found freedom to live your life without the worry of getting to work, stress at work, etc. One thing I loved right away is not having to drive to work in bad weather and not having to get up at 7am if I didn't want to.

Retirement day is a BIGGIE! I hope you have a terrific retirement and get to do the things that working made hard to find time to do! There is a little period of adjustment (for me about a month) and then I really got into being retired. I'm glad they gave you a royal and loving send-off...Congratulations, BoPeep!
