Mr D and I arrived home from hols today to a houseful of disgruntled cats who didn't speak to us for..........ooooo about an hour lol and to a wonderful suprise from Annika. A parcel containing a divine bag and some placemats. We were so thrilled and it was a wonderful welcome home.
I went up a day late so that I was able to make sure my darling Gill was ok after the death of her mother and help with a couple of funeral things. The funeral is on Tuesday and then I am sure the lonliness will set in hard for her. All I can do is be there for her.
The holiday was just fabulous. The house was everything we hoped and more and we took photographs galore. Many are picturesque but many more are fairly odd to view for those who aren't quilters. I have the raw material for my series of Northumbrian wall hangings which will be a labour of love for several years I imagine.
Time spent with Heather was a treat, she was a delight. We ate wonderful fish and watched the sea which was just a few yards from our window. We waited for a rough sea for photographs which only arrived this morning as we left, but we snapped away and got a few. Mr D is much rested.
Now to get the washing done and the house in some kind of order. Love to those who need it and hugs to those who want them
