Happy Friday !

Still trying to sweep the cobbies out of my head this morning. On my second cup of coffee and it is beginning to wake me up.

Laura, thinking of you this day and hoping all goes well with the Dr. If it is Lupus, that would be one less worry on your mind ~ knowing what the problem is and learning what is available in treatment plan, lifestyle etc will be another challenge for you. I have had several friends and clients over the years with lupus. For them it has been times of calm and times of flare ups. Knowledge is power.

Looking seriously at the deal of the day. My sis is a tapestry freak and this might would make a nice little stocking stuffer for her.

I need to seriously start cleaning up our spare bedroom - relations will be coming in after Thanksgiving and that bed will be needed. Gee, I didn't even know there was a BED in that room - ugh. I so dislike cleaning. I would rather sew.

Have a great day ladies.

Happy Friday to you to! I hope to have a great weekend of quilting and getting some things done. I am with you on the bed in my sewing room. Only I have till christmas to get it cleaned up for company. I will say when I get in there and clean I can't wait to start sewing and mess it up again. Have a great weekend

YES! I made it to 53!!
After some picking up here and there, a run to the store so the guys and Katie have quick things to eat, and a last load of clothes to throw in the washer, I'm off to Lancaster to shop with my girlfriend and sister until Sunday. We'll probably only hit 3 or 4 quilt shops and enjoy eating out, but it's the company and hot tub I'm looking forward to.

Another beautiful weekend out there and I'm praying that everyone has weather like this and can get out to enjoy the sunshine.

Blondie - I just saw that you live in N. Carolina. Anywhere near the East Coast part of it where I might be traveling to get down to Parris Island and I could wave as I go by? Not sure which route I'll take yet, but another Marine mom is stopping by sometime in the next week or so and we are going over travel plans. She just got back so I'll get some good tips from her.

Have a great day everyone!!!!
Hugs,

NM Lady

For Trish: Birthday Happiness

As we observe your birthday now,
Your cake and gifts don't matter much.
These common things aren't really you,
Ribbons, paper hats and such.

We celebrate a person who
Brings happiness to everyone,
Someone who gives more than she gets,
And fills our lives with joy and fun.

So Happy Birthday, and many more!
We hope you make it to a hundred and two,
Because we always want to have
The special pleasure of knowing you.

Wouldn't it make a pretty bag? Well going swimming and then out to eat with my youngest and his wife. It is sew beautiful today. I love fall! OH, btw I'm on the way to the coast, you'll pass right by me, Wave to me too!:icon_wave: Saundra:icon_wave:

Happy Happy Joy Joy to you, sweet Trish.
I do not live anywhere near the coast. I am way up in the corner of NC right on the Va. state line. Don't know which way you're coming from - Interstate 81 through Roanoke? You may be able to catch our Laura then. I am south east of there about an hour and half drive. Currently, I am without a vehicle - my transmission is out. No $$ to get it fixed so I am using my Daddy's "lil putt putt pick me up truck". Not safe for any distance driving. Just around town driving. Sigh. Would LOVE the opportunity to see you. And Laura, and Jan, and Saundra (who lives east of me about an hour), and Suzi and Bridgette and Hillbilly and ALL the rest of the sisters on this wonderful group. It would be marvelous to have a quilting retreat with all of us someday. We would never sleep, just eat, sew and stare at each other's beautimous works of art.
Big hugs - eat the frosting on the cake first.
