    Are you jealous?

I never have a moment by myself. When I say that I mean I NEVER am alone. Either my dh is here or my dd & dgs are here...all day every day. Don't get me wrong, I love them with my life but when you're stuck in the house, not allowed to drive, it feels like I'm trapped. Well, this weekend, yes the whole weekend I will be ALONE! DH is on a business trip, dd and dgs are spending the weekend elsewhere, hence the question, ,, are you jealous? ? If it wasn't me I would be. Hehe. It will be a quilting weekend for sure. I'm going in my sewing room in a few minutes in my pajamas and I'm not coming out til I hear that front door slam Sunday night!

Dang, girlfriend. I would wear one of those diapers so I wouldn't have to stop and worry about one of those Oops moments.
And yes, my blue eyes just turned a shade of green. Now get off the 'puter and SEW. Yay for YOU.

Grab that time and ride it to the last second! Then tell everyone as you pass them at the door on their return......feed yourselves, I've been sewing and now I'm exhausted. Night!!! Go to bed, and snuggle down with a cup of tea and a good book. Don't let them see how energized you are, they will ask you to cook or do laundry. Trust me, I know. Let them know, you are not on the clock till Monday morning! You go girl!! Hugs, Jan L.

            Donna,

Have a great time with your alone time! There was a time when I had zero time alone...24/7. If you could call it alone time, I had the two minute drive to work alone five days a week. Gee, that was 10 whole minutes a week...not even enough time to listen to a song on the radio! ENJOY and don't even get dressed! Hugs, Barb

I completely know what you mean. I love my husband but when he goes away for a couple days, I do a little happy dance. Just wish I could convince him to take the dog with him.

Good for you...I know about the never having alone time and when you get it, it's so precious.

Oh and Blondie's idea....don't do that....that's just nasty!!! Lol

Donna you enjoy yourself this weekend! I find when I have lots of time to go into the sewing room that it is great therapy.

Have fun and sew, sew, sew! I know exactly what you mean and I take advantage of any alone time I get, because I don't get it often.

Have fun sewing during your alone time............but I would suggest stopping to eat occasionally & a bathroom break or two! Just a thought!!!

Yay for you, Donna!! My dh used to have to work on Sundays. We really hated that since we never really had a full weekend to do things unless he took a day off. However, while he was at work on those days, I would enjoy my whole day to myself. I wasn't into sewing/quilting as much back then but did a lot of scrapbooking. In turn, on his other day off (which was right in the middle of the week) he did things that he enjoyed too. Have a wonderful weekend!

Enjoy...I get it. we are both retired and sometimes I could just scream because he keeps TV on a channel that totally annoys me. Even when he goes outside he leaves it on. I turn it off for the quiet. I was a teacher and just love being alone, quiet, etc. My daughter lives alone and always tells me how lonely it can be. I get that but sometimes...alone and quiet or music, TV, etc. of your choosing is heavenly!!
