    Applique wall hanging

Loved Rachelle's applique class so much, I started another one with the leftovers. Just the final stitching to do but need to be wide awake and in a good light.

Its stitched together using a tiny zig-zag stitch (about 18-20 to the inch) and monofilament thread which is invisible.

Now we need some special Jane lessons - since she's becoming our expert appliquer. Gorgeous work. Looks as if you paid attention in your class. Lucky you!

Very pretty. I still haven't tried applique...I plan to very soon though. I hope I get results as pretty as your quilt.

I really like this. The curves are done wonderfully.
                    Nice work!

The fabric looks thick. Is it regular cotton or felt? Does it look thick because of the batting and stitching?

Made in regular cottons, turned and glued on to Floriana 'stitch and wash' then machined on to the cotton base using monofilament and tiny zig-zag stitch. Once the borders are on it will need a gentle wash to remove any glue then back, quilt and bind to finish. It needs a good press but I don't want to 'set' any surplus glue
