    Canada

Just got back from a 10 day vacation in Vancouver,Canada. What an awesome city. We loved it there. There is so much to do and see. They have several nice parks within the city that have wonderful walking trails. We nearly walked our legs off! lol We visited Granville Island, Vancouver Aquarium, Stanley Park, Telus Science World, Queen Elizabeth Park / Bloedel conservatory, Lynn Canyon, Pacific Spirit Park, Brandywine Falls, Grouse Mountain, and did some sight seeing up along the Sea to Sky Highway past Squamsih. We had such a wonderful time, especially since we were visiting our daughter there and our son went with us. Here are a few pics. I would highly recommend visiting Vancouver, but July and August are the months that are the warmest, sunniest, and it's not quite as rainy. The average july/august high temps are around 71. That was quite a welcomed relief from our 100+ temperatures that we have been having in Indiana.

Beautiful pictures! I have been there, but only to drive through to catch the ferry over to Vancouver Island and Victoria. The Pacfic northwest is awesome!

Glad you enjoyed your trip. My son and daughter-in-law live in Lake Cowichan, about 80 km from Victoria. I have never been out there and probably never will, now that they are selling the house and moving this way.

The scenery is beautiful, but the weather is not the greatest. From what I've heard from people who live there, it's cloudy and rainy A LOT! Winters are mostly cloudy and rainy. The summer highs (July & August) are an average of 71 degrees. If it's a cloudy day it may be in the low or mid 60's. We had several days that were cloudy and drizzly which were quite cool. Most people like more sun than what Vancouver has...I know I do. I could handle the summers, but I don't think I could go for weeks and months with cloudy, rainy weather. As I mentioned before...it is a great place to visit in the summer. Of course, if you like skiing, then winter is when you want to go because the mountains (Whistler, Grouse, etc) are close by.

Also, it's very expensive to live there.
