A dear friend called tonight to tell me she has bone cancer. They give her six months without treatment and eighteen months with it. I have known her since she was 16 and I was 19. The cancer is in her thigh, both arms, her left lung, and her lower lobe in her right lung. It's also in the bone in her head, and in her cervical spine from C2 to T6. Unless there is a miracle she is not going to make it.
Her name is Mary Dean and she is only 58. Please pray for an easy time. And for her Son, David. He is going to be lost without his Mom. It's always been just the two of them. She is in MN. The rest of her family is in NY. Thank you for your prayers. Love, Hugs, and Prayers, Jan L.

Being 58 myself, this sad story makes my various issues seem like nothing. I am ashamed and will stop complaining now.

Sending my prayers and good thoughts to your friend.

Such a tragedy. I hope that she has the strength and joy to spend the next months doing all the things on her bucket list! You are a great friend.

Jan, prayers to your friend and her son. How devastating for them and at such a young age. I will be 58 next month and this just makes me so aware of how fragile life and time is.

Jan, prayers said for both and healing light sent her way. May Angels guide her time here to enjoy time with David, family and friends such as you. She's lucky to have someone like you in her circle at this time.

Chills . . . and prayers being uplifted. She had to have been in so much pain before the diagnosis. Miracles do happen - praying her son can adjust easily. What a scarey situation.

This brought tears to my eyes. Mary will be in our family's prayers and we will raise her up to be healed and for her son's peace of mind and heart. We will also be praying for the Doctor's and specialists who will treat her. She will not walk through this alone, we will be walking with her as will our Lord and Savior.

So sorry to hear about your friend. I went through that with my MIL and it is not pleasant for anyone. I would definitely recommend hospice assistance for the family. They were our angels and helped us through it. Sending love and prayers and peace for the family. Megan

Thank you everyone. Mary and David will appreciate the prayers. Mary is a quilter. She has an IQ that goes through the roof. The first quilt she did had nothing but 1 inch squares in it. It is so perfect. She is really good at quilting. I've watched her go through so much in this life. As for David, I helped deliver him. I'm hoping he comes back to NY so he has a support system after everything. Thank you again.
Yes, I have told her about Hospice and she is checking it out. I told her they would be there for David as well. I wish I could go to her but I need to be here for Emily. I feel really bad about not going to her. Mary wants to come home one more time. She was raised in Penn Yan, NY. However, this cancer has grown really fast. She had a baseline bone scan a year ago and there was no cancer at that time. I think it's going to be too rough on her to travel. We'll see how she does. I'm saying prayers for everyone who is in need. Thanks again.
Love, Hugs, and Prayers, Jan L.
