You can always make them smaller for the nicu, or as someone suggested,u can even make them square. Just about anything would go with this method. Good luck in your quest.

Wow, these are great. My grandson was in the nicu also when he was born and had a quilt that was made by someone. That was what got me interested in quilting and I told my husband if he bought me a sewing machine that's what I would do, so now I have set a goal of giving 66 baby quilts to the nicu in my area. I've just started but I have pieces cut to make 6 tops already....now the hard part of putting them together. Will definitely look at the tutorial for inspiration
