One of our local quilt shops hosted a quilting event yesterday featuring Tin Lizzie long arm quilt machines. It was a combination "show and tell" of some absolutely gorgeous quilts made by Janie Donaldson, building a darling patchwork table runner for us to take home, practice long arm quilting on the Tin Lizzie longarms, lunch, chat with fellow quilters, and 8 hours in a wonderful fabric store! Of course, I did not come home without some bargains. We were allowed to browse in between parts of the day and "run a tab" to be settled up at the end of the day. I kept finding things and adding it to my tab, and when the salesclerk added it up, it came to $6234.65! Wow, did I have a few gold coins in that one bag or an order for a long arm machine that I didn't remember? When my heart started functioning again after that shock, she quickly redid it, she forgot to put a decimal point in, and charged me $5999.00 instead of $59.99 for an item. This makes somewhat of a difference! I was NOT GOOD on my supposed fabric diet( what diet?), i got some great bargains! But did not bring home another longarm machine!
