    Default QUICHE

I love quiche and it's so easy to make. This one was in my e-mail today. I can't wait to try it!

I also found a piecrust recipe that uses oil instead of shortening or butter. I was surprised. I acually liked it. I didn't think it made enough for the pie pan so I prepared 1 1/2 times the recipe. I also added additional milk (or water) to get it to hold together better. I handled it quite a bit and was afraid it would be tough but it wasn't. It's fragile so I was able to do a pretty edge on it but just for the two of us taste is more important than the looks of the crust. Next time I'll try mixing it in the food processor.

I am not much on quiche, but I do make pie. The best pie crust recipe I found for the best flaky yumminess is made using 1/2 water and 1/2 CHILLED VODKA! It makes a very tender crust.

Thanks for the quiche recipe! I hadn't made it in 30 years, then tried it out recently for company and it was the nicest meal with bread and a salad. Inexpensive and easy to make a few different kinds to please everyone. And the leftovers are great for breakfast. If there are any leftovers, that is.
