AccuQuilt GO---NO NO NO

Hi quilters

I saw this thing in person. I am glad I saw it before I ordered one online. Amazon.com has them almost $100 less.
Anyway, my friend and quilt shop owner said if you are going to purchase one get the STUDIO version......its most expensive though, but comes with a LIFETIME warranty, where the GO and Baby Go only have 1 year.

She is selling hers in her shop for %25 off to get rid of them. I love the fact that for $50 a year you can join to use their studio cutter when you want for as long as you want. YOu just have to make reservations.
Its an hour drive for me so when I go I take a lot of fabric with me. I can cut 10 yards of fabric in 30 minutes with the Studio Cutter. LOVE it. But I want one in my house!!!

The Go! is not what it looks like in the demo clips. I am so glad I didnt get it. I dont understand why people are loving it so much. Please tell me if I am wrong. Because I really thought I wanted it!!!

I think will wait til I can afford the Studio Accuquilt Cutter and the sit-down HandiQuilter because I have progressive degenerative disc disease and fibromyalgia....and Im just 41....and was a Nurse for YEARS. Life is funny. Have no idea what the Lord has planned for me but I hope its to still be able to sew for a LONG TIME!

Whats your take on this product??? If you have the GO! Please tell me if it is worth the money!

I am very lucky to live close to the Handi quilter dealer and can play on the machine when ever I want. They have a sit and go one set up. At our lqs we can rent time on the machine if we can't afford one or don't have the room for one. I also want the accuquilt machine. I think the studio is the best one to get because my interest is cutting strips and then you can use the same dye to cut squares. I know I would use an alphabet but the other dyes would be just as I do the quilt like the apple core or hexigon dyes. Yes I would love a Handi-quilter (my best friend is getting ready to set hers up) but I don't have the room right now.

Our local dealer is bringing them to our big spring quilting show here in Canada called Creative Festival. It is held in Toronto. The sit down version looks easy to use but do you still have to pin. I like the rollers of the other models so I don't have to pin. It hurts my hands to pin.

I'm a newbie to quilting, but I did buy the AccuQuilt Go a couple of months ago and it is truly a LIFESAVER for me. I have issues cutting with a rotary blade, and my cuts are never accurate, but with the AccuQuilt Go they are...I LOVE it

My husband bought me an Accuquilt Go for Christmas and I two love it. I also have issues cutting with a rotary cutter. I think my strips and squares are accurate until I go to put the quilt together and then I realize they are not. The Accuquilt Go has a been a life saver for me. It has cut my cutting time for a King size quilt way down.

THE Accucutter STUDIO version has a lifetime warranty. the GO only one year.

I love my Go! The dies you purchase for any model are only covered under a limited warranty for one year and those are the things that get the MOST wear and tear. I don't see the appeal of spending an extra $350 unless you plan on using the fabric cutter in a commercial capacity cutting LOTS and LOTS of fabric.

My scrap bins have gotten a big boost with lots of shapes already cut out ready for me to use. I love sitting in front of my TV rolling fabric through while I watch a movie. The Go! was a great purchase in my opinion.

My husband got me a GO for Christmas and I LOVE it! I just have to be careful about fabric movement when rolling through. Perhaps if I starch the material first. It sure does trim time off cutting out!

I got the AccuQuilt Go for my birthday and I love it. I use the 5" square and 2 1/2" strip cutter more than the others but my cuts are more accurate than they are with a ruler. I also like the fact that it folds up and can be moved out of the way.
