Today I made the trek to MSQC with my hubby for my birthday......but mainly to see Jenny, family, and that awesome new store! It was wonderful! This is one of the most awesome families I think I have ever met! Since Sandy asked.....here's what I bought.
I have a king size pinwheel top made from a turnover, and various original 30's fabrics from my mil and my mom's stashes. I purchased today the 2 outer borders, binding, and the backing for that quilt. I also picked up the background fabric, the circle centers and outer border fabric, and the backing for my in progress Dresden quilt....also California king sized! (HUGE!!) Well...I also had to have the daily deal....which my daughter has fallen in love with, so I see a quilt in her future, too........FUTURE! It looks like a little pile.....but it added up quickly and will complete 2 CA king sized quilts. One will serve as our blanket this winter and the other will be our bedspread all year long. It was such fun and I met Bernice there (in person). Thanks MSQC for all you do and all you are! I feel so blessed to know you!

I was picking up border fabric for a quilt I am trying to finish when I heard them say someone from the forum was there at the shop what a nice surprise. SuzyQue it was so nice to meet you and your husband today. I was so surprised to see you I forgot to tell you happy birthday. MSQC is one of the most awesome places to shop they are such a wonderful family and I am blessed that they are so close to me I can visit often.

Can you imagine MSQC. Being your local quilt store? Lucky girl, Bernice!

Love your haul, half your luck being able to go in person. Happy Birthday.

Oh, I so love your fabric choices. I'm especially drawn to your pinwheels. One of these days I will be comfortable enough to say that I have mastered them. Every time I work with triangles I get better.

I'm happy for you. I hope to be able to visit M* sometime, but it will have to be after the weather cools so Miss Molly can ride along and sleep in the truck while we shop.
