Red face OK, had to steal batteries from the TV remote, but...

OK Ladies here is the scoop on my Tumbler...and the fabric I have in the pictures. Hope they show better here this time.

    Now:
    1. the Black and White floral stripe is 44" x 10 1/2"

    2. the Black and Gold (looks white) is 43" x 16"

    3. the Brown with circles is 44" x 16"

    4. the Green w/ holly 1st pc 59" x 7" 2nd pc 59 1/2" x 7 1/2" (Looking for fall but I don't know about this fabric it is very muted)

    5. the Brown Paisley is 1 fat Qt and 1 pc 43" x 21"

So now what, what can I use for small borders without it looking to pieced together? I have larger fabric to do larger borders and backing. I want this to be at least a throw size. Thanks again for your input and putting up with me!!!!

I wouldn't dare make a suggestion as you could quilt me under the table blindfolded and with one hand tied behind your back! I just wanted to say I love those blocks and your colours are PERFECT!

    Hi

If it was mine quilt i would use a solid color for a narrow border close to the tumlber. It is so much pattern and color going on , i think it needs some solid to tame it down a bit.
It is a realy beautiful quilt.

Good luck choosing the right fabric.

I'm thinking either a narrow black or red solid. I think it looks better since mixing up the blocks instead of them being in rows of the same color. It's coming along...keep working at it.

Thanks Ladies for your input. I have an oatmeal jelly roll that I can use to go around the tumblers and it looks good. Then I can use something else for the outer borders. But right now I am dealing with car insurance, cus my Hubby hit a deer with my car last night....Hubby is OK thank goodness, deer isn't OK, sorry bambie...my car is not OK!!!! It is really a mess. So just waiting for a call back from an Ins. Adjuster, and get it to the body shop, get a rental car....and hope for the best.. My poor little PT Cruiser is a mess..can't open the drivers door, front fender and headlight and bumper are crunched pretty good.

So I will be round until all this starts to go down...

Thanks Ya'll I am going off to cry now.

Oh Jan! Poor Jan! Poor PT! I've been there....TAKE PICTURES of your poor little PT. You may not need them now or even later, but then, again, what if you do? I needed them! Just by dumb luck I took pics of my mess with my phone....glad I did!

    Love your pretty scrappy tumblers!

So sorry to hear that, Jan.

I'm 'confined to Barracks', too. I swerved on a lethal bend in wet weather to avoid a cat (a cat!!) and ended up in a ditch. Thank the good Lord there wasn't traffic coming on the other side! I'm fine, the cat's fine but my poor wee Yaris is no longer with us. RIP. Now, see if you can guess in Decibels how loudly Hubby screamed? Once he knew I was alive enough to stand being yelled at, of course!

Hope you're back on the road soon.

Well folks I am back from town, and my PT is at the Drs for surgery, won't know how bad until they take her apart. Maybe she can be fixed maybe not! I now have a rental car for the duration of PT'S stay or ???. Now it is just waite and see!!! Thanks for all kind words Jen, Jingleme, and Annika. I think sewing is on hold today for now just I want a beer. So what if I go to bed at 7:30 or what ever. I am sad and I miss my PT. I know that sounds crazy but I picked her out and bought her myself, and she is so cool to drive and I can fit a lot of big goodies if I go shopping for really big items. I even got a whole bale of hay in her one time, (only one time)!!!! Won't have any news until maybe monday or tuesday, then we have the 4th of July so I don't know. Just have to waite and see.

Thanks for listening to me babble on.

Love, Hugs, and Blessings to you all,
    Jan G.

Off to get a beer!!!!! and cry some more!!!! I know I am being a big baby!!! Sorry!!
