I have read your messages and still can't believe all that you have done for this DIL. Is she bed-bound, works too hard, or just lazy. I remember so many times when I have arrived at my daughter's home and have cleaned and cleaned because I couldn't stand the messes . . . not so bad now but sometimes I am still grossed out. I can't imagine doing it for someone who did not carry my blood in their veins. You, my dear Monique, are certainly destined for Sainthood!

Good Morning...It's a sunny (but cooler and less humid) day here in in southern KY. I'm playing with the Singer Stylist that I bought last week for the grands to use (I hope) when they're visiting in July and August. This evening DH and I are going out for supper, bluegrass music, and clogging (me, not DH!). We haven't gone out much lately (too much farming to do), and I'm looking forward to it.

Prayers and hugs for all my quilty friends.

Okay, I have to calm down a bit. It is getting into the day and I need to make haste. Al is in Jefferson City and probably as nervous as a 'cat on a hot tin roof' and will be sitting for his oral exams in 'bout an hour. Keep your fingers crossed. The girls are off to their swim competition this morning but I have 'hunkered' down. It's raining with thunder and lightening so I decided to skip the meet. Hope the kids understand - they couldn't be able to pick me out in a crowd anyway.

Yesterday was a hoot. Got our theater tickets, stopped and even upgraded the popcorn and drink, picked up some Reese's Pieces and off we went to see Brave. I don't navigate well in the dark so it took a bit for me to locate how to get into the seats where my skinny Emily easily slid into. She had to choose the second row from the screen. Oh, Mercy Me! The movie was great, not something I would wish on anyone under the age of about six though. As we were leaving Emily surprised me with her other suggestions to end the day. The only thing we didn't do was locate the nearest ice cream shop. Made an extended trip to the bookstore and ran to the mall where she had to check out things at Claire's. What is it about that store and young girls??

Anyway, I'm off to sew some today. Not sure what I am going to put together.

Sending lots of hugs and stuff to everyone here!

Good day all. Think it's gonna be a hot one here today. Sending prayers your way Blondie for your DH, hoping the scan turns out fine. Donna, you should do nothing today, but play with that new machine. Monique, wondering the same as Sandy, is there a reason you DIL can't do all the things you have been doing? None of my business tho I guess. Myrna wish I was going with you, I love bluegrass, and watching cloggers. Sending prayers to all that need them. Hoping everyone has a blessed and fabric filled day.

I had to laugh about cutting Shakespeare in half. When I was in school, I would have agreed. hehehe. Sorry about the wrist on the actor. Tough break. New meaning to break a leg?

I went to see that play last night that was making costumes for, and it was just delightful! We were wearing light jackets. And we were worried about the actors wearing long sleeves ( it was a Shakespeare play done in period costume), but last night it wasn't a problem. The director's nightmare last night was that one of the actors slipped going off stage during one of the first scenes and broke his wrist in two places. They covered without missing a beat, another actor took over the role with a script, and he did the dance at the end with minimum of rehearsal. All in all, it was a good play. Long, Shakespeare had a lot to say, that's for sure! And my friend the director cut it practically in half! They all looked so good! The costumer who did the bulk of the costumes did a great job.

I used to be a fairly decent flat footer in my day but not any longer. Enjoy yourself!

Aww, Blondie...the best laid plans...fell through. DH says he's worn out so I'm sittin' here at home instead of kickin' up my heels. I'm about ready to wear him out with a switch!

Aw, heckfire shoot! I got sidelined watching some flat footing on your tube. We haven't been to any bluegrass this year, although my town recently held their annual Charlie Poole weekend for those among us that grew up with this in our blood. Now tell me true, Myrna, can't you just do some buck and eagle to this??

Sure do miss my daddy hearing this. I may have to get out the mandolin and pick a spell.

I've enjoyed reading all the posts today

I drove today when we went to the quilt shop and we were right in front of Sportman's Den and I asked DH do you want to stop now and he said "yeah if you want to take the time" and I thought sure do bud....because now you have no reason to rush me since we've already went to the store you wanted. He thought I was just being nice to him.....I had an ulterior motive

I've been working on borders on my brother's quilt today. Well off to put another border on it.

Have a wonderful evening...prayers and hugs to all
