Congrats quilting mama! The only thing we ever did was take him out to eat and make him pay for it.

I recently won scraps from Hawaii bark cloth fabrics and didn't have a clue what to do with them, so I went and bought a inexpensive sewing machine (I am not a sewer and have never been one), and decided to try some things and ended up with 2 beautiful pillows that aren't the best looking quilted pillows but I had a blast making them. So now I'm going to attempt a quilt. I have made several more quilted pillows also. Soooo yes free fabric would be great !!!

    Congrats to Quilting Mama!

How about a quilted TV remote cozy. Not that you really have to worry about the remote getting cold with most men ... what is up with that? My husband has worn out 5 remotes on this TV already.

Figure out what he likes the best and surprise him with that. My father loved good food and sweets so i used to make him something eatable.

My kids give Jonas a whole day with just ME! That's what he wants most of all. They make dinner and everything for Father's Day, but then they give him a gift cert to one of our favorite restaurants to use the following weekend. We usually spend the day walking around beautiful Portsmouth, NH, go to the coast for a walk and then go out to eat. It's always a great day.

It's low key - the kids do a gift, and I cook a meal he especially likes or to a restaurant of his choice. When the kids were young, they sometimes would do a breakfast in bed.
