Thank you for giving me help and advice-p1030472-1-.jpg

Several months ago, my daughter asked me if I could make a quilt for her dearest friend who was having a double mastectomy. The girl for whom this was intended has a very very modern home (that I've never seen), and after looking all around Pinterest and google images, I found a pattern that I thought I could figure out how to make myself. After online advice about grays that would look good together, I overbought (! shock !) gray fabric and chose yellow for the "pop" of color. You gave me lovely suggestions for the quilting of this project, ideas, and encouragement.

Now I'm ready to give it to her before she has her final surgery. I named the quilt "Seven Shades of Gray" and hope she doesn't think I'm an idiot.

Thanks again for all your help.

I like it with several shades of gray...very pretty! I think she will love it too!

I love this. Modern, yes, but also kinda 'classic' with your color choices. I'm sure the recipient is going to love both the gift and the thought behind it.

I love it! And I don't like modern quilts! Okay I guess I do! Good job, and how sweet of you!

That is a stunning quilt. Well done! I know she will love it. I think it conveys strength. Hope she feels that way, too.
