I affectionately call this my "Quilt Well Travelled". I bought the fabric in a wonderful quilt shop in Grand Junction, Colorado several years back. I pieced the top and stared at it for over a year. Christmas-time 2013 my DH surprised me with tickets to the Phoenix AQS in February of 2014. The quilt took an airplane ride to Phoenix where I took a class where the participants all had quilts that needed advice on different ways to finish. The instructors as well as the rest of the class all provided input and ideas on the best way to quilt each of our tops. Fabulous class, so much fun. Several suggested I follow the peacock theme of the one print and I quilted it on the longarm with this wonderful peacock feather design. I finished the binding on a road trip to New Mexico last fall. This is one of my husband's favorite quilts. He says its just right for this time of year when it starts to cool at night, but not cold yet. Anyway I put it on the bed a few days ago and thought I'd share.
