Pinwheels!
Many thanks to Melissa, who helped me get this far!
I kind of set up a design wall, and just slapped the pinwheels on the batting, and while I have a bunch of moving around to do, and I might actually make a few more of the dark purple to make this complete. But I have had alot of fun with this project. :D But the picture isn't that great, but if you love pastels, this is great fabric.

Re: Pinwheels!
You can't go wrong with pinwheels, can you? They make such a cheery quilt.
I'd play around with dispersing the darker squares randomly around the quilt, just to see how it looks. It would give the quilt less of a strong focal point and keep your eye moving around the quilt. It's worth a try, even it you decide to go back to the very pretty X arrangement.

Re: Pinwheels!
Thank you Cyndi! I appreciate the input. I am making a few more to add to the "border" of the quilt. I will post a picture when it's all completed. Going to try your advise and see what happens.
As for being scared to try this? Use some scraps and make a simple one or two. And just go for it. MSQC has a wonderful way to make them, it's pretty fast and easy. I used to be concerned as well. Now, after this project. I love them!
