Fabric bowl w/o fabric
I like the fabric bowls but hate wrapping the fabric. I had some leftover packages of clothesline and decided to try something different. Dye. Yep, I dyed the cording. I like how the color turned out but as I sit here and look at the bowl, I wonder . . . what will I use it for?? Oh well, it was fun and easy. Once the cord was dry, sewing was fast and easy.

What do you mean, what would you use it for? I can see some hand sewing projects peeking out, or maybe some fruit on the kitchen table. How about a scrap basket by your sewing machine or a thread catcher? Fill it with hand lotion, your manicure stuff, nail files. Or maybe even throw a napkin in the bottom and fill it with Kettle Corn for a night time snack.

That is great. You could use it for almost anything. jewelry, nightstand bowl, bread bowl...

I use mine for buns with a napkin placed in the basket first. Or use for gathering sewing stuff, or to catch change and keys at the bedside or... Or.... The sky's the limit! I didn't like the wrapping either, but I found out short pieces instead of long pieces of fabric are easier to use. I haven't made one in a while, but I love doing them. I like your nice deep pretty blue basket!

I am just in love with the color!! It would be pretty to have around the house and I can think of lots and lots of things to use it for--mail, bills to pay (nah wouldn't waste it on that), clothespins, xmas CDs, xmas cards, favorite photos, all the recipes you cut out in next 6m but never make, household lost and found, extra pairs of reading glasses you can never find, heck even mittens, etc. etc. I am curious how did you sew this together and is there something hard in the bottom of it or just rope? My wanna make one list is getting longer!
