Default It Grew In The Making!

This quilt began as an experiment in making hourglass/QST blocks. Then, I added four-patches. Then I added some more four-patches. Then I added a border. Then I added another border... Let's just say it grew improvisationally.

I like the way it turned out ( I love red in almost all its incarnations), but I wonder if the color combinations are too radical for the average bear? I was planning to give it as a gift, but I don't want to scare the recipient to death!

    It's beautiful!

The hourglass blocks make it look like the blocks are on point.

The recipient is a very lucky person.

Angelia, the color scheme is an analogous color scheme, so I don't think it is a crazy color combination at all. And the design, to me, is classic. It is bright. But it's beautiful. As long as the recipient isn't wedded to neutrals & likes red I think they will be thrilled.

Whoever gets the quilt will love it (not be scared to death). It is a very beautiful quilt. I say give it as planned.

You can give me your quilt, Angelia, if they don't like it.

Sandy, I've heard of the doll you had, but couldn't find one anywhere.

Beautiful! Well done! Gives me ideas for a future quilt. The colors are just fine.
