    I love this pattern but I'm at a standstill after I've cut out all the 5"squares. I'm making this for an 11 yr old boy so I'm using a few sports fabrics and some others to contrast. I need to know, did you vary the order of the 5"squares to make the 9-patch blocks? Was there an order you used to do that? The picture looks like the order was varied, but the directions don't say to do that or not to do that. They're a little vague. Any tips you have on this would be very much appreciated.

    I'm sorry but I don't even remember. I would usually just randomly make up the blocks, cut apart, and then set them out making sure no seams were lined up or like fabrics touching. Have you watched Jenny's video? I think I used that as well as the pattern.
