    Default Jenny's Easy Swedish Hearts

After watching Jenny's video on making Swedish hearts yesterday, I felt inspired to decorate the little tree that sits in our basement "lodge" room. They made up quickly and helped relieve a little holiday stress.

It's all fun and games until the bobbin runs out.

    They look great!

    Happy christmas!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Wonderful! I had no idea they were called that but they are a big part of traditional Swedish Christmas crafting, so it sure fits! When I grew up we usually made them from shiny crafting paper, often in the red and green you have chosen. We usually use the same material to hang them, instead of string, that's the only difference can see.

    Lovely!

What I love about these are that they are actually little pockets that hold treats or surprises for my kids. Such fun!
