Each year I save scraps from fleece and make some cute snowman ornaments. The kids love them and I hang a couple on the frig with magnet clips. There's very little sewing involved. Make 2 white circles for the face. (about 4"). Place 2 pieces of white together, sew all the way around the circle, leaving a small opening to turn. Sew on the buttons for nose and eyes. Embroider a smile with floss. Stuff the head with filling and close the opening. Attach a 1" scarf with Aileen's heavy craft glue. Attach a hat with glue. Tie at the top of the hat and cut for fringe. Brush a little blush on the cheeks with your makeup brush. The kids love my sequin hangers!

Save your fleece scraps. They come in handy for little projects like this. This may also be hand sewn, so the grandkids can help make their own if you don't want to use a machine.
