Good Morning y'all! Coffee in hand here...............

A truly good friend would have shared her Oreo's with her forum friends.

The elephant in the crate ate them!

LOL, careful Pam, I now have my OWN smelly stuff to ship now, the elephant is quite efficient!!

And here I was thinking, "Hmmmmm.....she likes Oreos.......wonder how many it'd take to get her to use the awesome new longarm to finish a quilt for me." :P

Sammi, you did see the practice work behind the shoes thus far right? Bwahahaha!

Claire, ewww really like the look your achieving with the embroidery floss, looks great!
Mare, awwww that first pic is just too darned cute! Turned out wonderful, and wow on the hail, I hate that stuff, so damaging!
Sammie, love those blocks you're doing, what's the finished sizes on them? Gotta love HST's!
Lisa, 150 bricks? Oh made my back spasm just thinking about that! And have to agree with Judy, Round Up is the only answer for creeping wire grass and weeds. Brown is a neutral after all!
Amy, love the pic of Miss Sophie at the new banquette. Perfect and looks great.

Lifting my coffee mug in salute to all, hope y'all have a great day!
    We are cups
    constantly and quietly being filled.

Lou, I'm right there with you. This has been me lately-

wip 9/8/15 Just a spoon full of projects!-tired-cat.jpg

I've hardly been able to sew since June and now between the farm, harvest, allergies, and back to school... I'm really dragging. But I still hang out here for motivation and they haven't kicked me out.....yet.

Carrie, when I saw your post in my sleepy haze, I thought.."Oh wow, the crate of elephant 'presents' actually arrived!!"

Inspiring work everyone! It's why ya'll can't get rid of me...
Molly's simple "nook creating" ended up being a "pack away the home office space because I wan't using it anyway" purge and massive rearrange. Not sure what I was thinking but at least it finally doesn't look like we are tornado victims anymore.
Mid way through kiddo says to me, "Mom, why don't you just do all that in one day while I'm at school?"

Didn't get to sew yesterday - somehow life tends to get in the way. However on Tuesday I managed to get seven baby quilts sandwiched and ready for Da Man to work his magic.

I think to day I'll get one more baby quilt top pieced and ready to go. May make a couple more of my sewing kits - love doing those. I have mailed a couple out and keep waiting to hear how they are received.

Hoping that Carrie keeps that elephant residue down in Texas - we need no more fertilizer here as there's enough spread from WDC.

Well, I'm sitting down for a bit taking a coffee break. I am in the sewing g room this morning but it's not doing fun sewing. I'm altering to gi's ( white karate sets) for my granddaughter and her boyfriend. They are for their self defense course at college this semester, oh, brother! Don't they have normal gym classes anymore?! Sleeves must be between their elbow and wrist, and pants 2" above their ankle. They must come one size fits giants cause I just cut at least 9" off the sleeves, and the pants are even longer.

I'm about to turn in for the night, but I want to thank you for putting up with me despite my apparent incapacity to either hoard fabric or pile up WIPs.

Last night was a total nightmare... I went to bed at 9pm. At 2 am our phone rang. THis always scares me because I can't physically get to the phone before voicemail picks up. Then I have to wait for the voicemail to be delivered to me via e-mail. By then I have a hundred horror stories in my mind or I am completely convinced that someone has died. Last night it was a music store in Green Bay asking where they should ship a piece of music that my husband had ordered that finally came in. I was already wide awake when I knew it was worthless then I couldn't fall back asleep because DH was snoring like a freight train.

Tonight I was going to sew, instead I got the itch to leave the house. We took the kids to a playground, for pizza and ice cream. We all had a blast! Then when we put them to bed we received our quotes from our travel agent (the school we work for is part of an organization and using their travel agent in one of our perks ;-) ) and we decided on our travel plans for Christmas. We're going home to Atlanta, and giving my husband the opportunity to get to see his mother in Wisconsin who has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. She has a good prognosis, but I understand why he is compelled to go.

I'm not excited about our reason for going home, but I am excited about going home!! I have spent the past 2 Christmas seasons in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and I think it is going to be really fun for my kids to experience America during Christmas. I'm looking forward to Mass in English, being able to fulfill their key wish list items with ease, pumpkin spice lattes and the after-Christmas sale at Jo-Ann ;-)

My LQS is under new ownership too, so it will be interesting to take a look around there!

Keep stitching, I live vicariously through you!!

I've been known to direct people to the nearest Dry Cleaners for alterations like this!

Lou I would have liked to send them there too! However after having to pay for these outfits they're low on funds, and they know Grammy has a soft heart! ( or is that pushover! Lol)
