Thanks Jen, it's nice to know I'm not limited anymore, ya know? And I am soooooo not gonna miss FMQ, it was ripping my upper shoulder and neck area to pieces! Happy sigh here!

whew, catching up on all the happenings takes awhile. I didn't realize I have not been here this past week. Wonderful hearing all the new things happening.. small houses, big houses and purges.. I can relate to all of it.

THe challenge is knowing what to keep, what to purge and making it all fit into the space you have. I went thru a wardrobe full of quilty things. And I did get rid of a few items. And my bedroom/sitting area got a good cleaning. Now for a run to Goodwill to get rid of stuff I no longer use. How do I accumulate so much junk? Just how many flower vases should one have?? And Candles, Let's not go there, OK?

Up early and got the kitchen cleaned up.. It seems to accumulate dirty dishes thru the night.. Thankfully we have a dish washer.

Plans for the week end is to spray paint a large file cabinet.. just getting it empty & outside has taken me all this week. Keep getting interrupted with other things happening... and so the days go!!

Amy - shake that little behiney and get to work!!

Could say the same to myself. Call me Miss Procrastination. I did get a couple of my sewing kits finished yesterday but this stupid back of mine called quits. I am supposed to be digitizing a quilt design for my Li'l Sis to put on her Hummingbird quilt. Haven't heard if she's coming up today or not - if she does then I'm in deep doo-doo. **Just had a text and she's coming up.

Me, I keep telling Al if he could get his leg up high enough in the air to give me a karate kick in the lower back then I'd be fine.

    Happy stitching, Ladies!

Amy, love your colors. After the banquette project, you will have a nice sitting area to sew on while Sophie can create at the other side.

Sandy, have you ever seen those Japanese masseuses that walk up and down your spine?? Or the massage with "hot" rocks? I had the massage with the rocks and it feels great. The only problem afterwards was that I was so relaxed all I wanted to do was take a nap. LOL

    Morning All!

I am so excited for today. A whole day of quilting without lesson plans or grading too do!! Sure, I may have to do some laundry, but that only takes a few minutes. So, after my lovely breakfast and the forum, I'm off to finally baste my BILs quilt for Christmas. When I get that done it will be catching up on all my BOMs I have been putting off for Quiltsmas. Hoping to finish all those up and maybe squeeze one more project in today.

Amy R--Just tell yourself how fast it will go once you get started. That looks like a pretty small project--you could pry whip it out in a few days. Then you get to celebrate a finish. That always motivates me.

Carrie J--Grats on finally getting to use your new machine! It sounds absolutely awesome. I tried swirls for the first time in FMQ the other night. They definitely need some practice; but it was fun!

Granny Fran--Your quilt turned out beautiful. Now I want to make one. Wait...I already have too many projects to count. Maybe I should pretend I never saw that.

Pcbatiks--Joann's is great for that too. I just got 10 yards of warm & white a few months back for 50% off plus a total-purchase discount coupon I had. They won't let you stack your teacher discount at the store I go to anymore.

    Morning Ladies!

The mockingbirds were very absent this morning, so I slept in. Tough job, someone's gotta do it, right?

Judy, good to see you back on....where were you when I was purging by my lonesome? LOL!
Sandy, feel your pain on the back issue!! and let's not even discuss bouts of procrastination, LOL! Hope it eases soon for ya!
Fran, usually how I feel after a half hour on the massage table at the Chiro's office. Wet noodle syndrome!
Amy, beautiful start there m'dear, gonna be another winner!
Sammi....lol, we were posting at the same time ....thanks for the ' Grats, and sounds like you have a great day lined up!
Making friends again today on the frame. Nothing spectacular going on today, and I'm totally fine with that! Happy sewing to all, or whatever y'all are into today! Hugs!

um... yeah.... I don't think that will fit ;-)

Ironically just today I was speaking with a local teacher when dropping my son off in his 4 year old room he said "I love you Mama, have a nice day!" and I replied "You have a nice day too!" ... and she walked by and said "This is why I like working at an American school, you are all so friendly, it is just so NICE to say such NICE greetings all the time. We just say 'HI' and 'BYE' and maybe a 'see you soon' but we don't waste our breath wishing people a good day."

So, I'm guessing there aren't a lot of "welcome" signs hanging by the doorway of local homes!
