Default What pattern would you suggest?

I am in a challenge for July. It's a crayon challenge where you pull 3 crayons and you have to use at least 2 of the colors in your 40"x40" square quilt. It can't be smaller, but could be larger. I really don't want to do one that is much larger.
My colors are indigo (a light purple which I am not fond of), black, and tan.
I am trying to use fabrics from my stash so I have an indigo that is light purple leaves all over a hardly noticable white background. I also have several pieces of black - probably about 1/2 yard of different pieces, about a half yard of sold tan, and 2 1/2 yard pieces of tan/black thin stripes.

I am not fond of these colors together so am thinking of just using the indigo and the black somehow. I don't want it to be too boring looking like a 9 patch, but nothing else is coming to my mind. Or maybe a large rectangle of the indigo paired with a smaller size rectangle of black and just sew bunches of them together turning them so they face different directions? Thinking I like the 2nd choice better.

    Any other ideas out there?

There are some very cool patterns on Moda Bakeshop that I think could work for your limited palette quilt. I love the one called Saturday Stars. Also the one about 6 down from the top with the squares could be adapted. Good luck, and let us see what you come up with.

My personal opinion is that black and indigo won't give you enough contrast. I would go with either black and tan or indigo and tan. I keep thinking the the black and tan could be an interesting combination. There's a pattern I'm thinking about for my next quilt. You can either cut a charm in half or a layer cake in half and then frame it. Than you could either sew them side by side or even set them on point!

I thought indigo was a dark dark navy blue - anyway, Jacobs Ladder comes to mind first!

Oh, thank you for the replies!
The color I pulled out of the pack was a light purple. The gal did a scratch of it on an index card and wrote indigo, so that's where I got the color and name from.
I do thank you for all the suggestions, but think I am going to go with a large 10 minute block with the light purple as the outside and the black for the center diamond.

I'll post a photo in about a month or so when it gets finished.
