    I'm with Lilmouse. Just add some borders to the sides first to get it closer to what you want. Then add one additional border just to the top and bottom. You don't have to have the same border/s on all four sides. Also if you do pieced borders only on the sides (to add interest) it'll be easier to figure out the sizing. Once those go on then you can cut plain borders for top and bottom. If you don't like that you can still add a plain border all the way around to frame it. I think I'd be brave and make some pieced borders for the sides. Then figure out what to do with the plain border after.
