Rebecca, what an adorable quilt you are making. Carolyn, I rarely make a pieced border. When I do, I adjust the squares downward until it fits. You can't see where one square is a tiny bit smaller than the others, especially if you adjust several blocks and not just one. This only works if you aren't off by much. I love Rebecca's idea of making a small border until it fits.
