I don't know what the shipping would be but this place is having a sale right now....

I'm not sure what the shipping costs are for HI, but Joann.com is offering FREE SHIPPING for orders over $40 right now --
Check it out! Hope it helps!
Hugs,
I was going to say Jo-ann's as well with their great coupons. What you save with the coupon, you can use the difference for shipping costs. Are there any quilt or fabric stores in HI, not necessarily a Jo-Ann's? They may have be able to cut you a deal if you by a roll.
Sandy, sign up for Joann's - then you can use the 40% online one cut fabric for the 90" x 36" Warm and Natural and have it shipped to you. You can't use the free shipping coupon with the discount coupon - it's one or the other. The only thing with Joann is their distribution is slower than slow - about three weeks before it gets to us.
FabricMart - Honolulu is $9.95/yard for the 90"/36" Warm and White - just bought 5 yards before leaving 'cause I had to finish Sarah's quilt and a couple of other ones before coming to Calif.
Going to use my 50% off 1 cut and probably buy a bolt if I don't go fabric crazy lol - then vacuum seal it to stick in my suitcase. Let TSA unseal that sucker like a liferaft and see how they get it back in (they inspected my suitcase coming to LA the nerds!). :icon_rofl:
Are you still going to CA to see your kids? Maybe you can do the same? Or you can send PayPal money to me and I can buy for you and send to you. PM if you need help, I'm in CA for at least 2-3 weeks more. Waiting for Miss Penny. :)
Wlow tks so much for the info you are such a big help. I will sign up for Joann's and get the 50% coupon. I will go to FabricMart today since I need it quickly. And yes I am still going to Cali in July I am hoping the 50% coupon is still good by then. Thank you so much for the offer of Pay Pal I will seriously consider it and let you know since you are going to be there for a few more weeks. How much is Joann's batting with the 50% coupon? Miss Penny will come when she wants like any lady she has that right as a lady to do it on her own terms lol. God Bless and have fun and much Mahalo
Just a fun fact about Joann's ...it is the cheapest to buy warm and natural but it's in your best interest to get while your stateside. We have an APO so it make a little difference but Joann's takes 6 weeks to get here no matter what you order. I don't order unless I want to wait just an FYI. Hawaii might have the same! happy quilting
We were recently in Hawaii for a week, then to Japan for a week and back to Hawaii for two weeks. The airlines were very strict on baggage weight. One of ours was overweight by less than a pound, and we had to move something from one bag to another one or pay an overweight fee. We were allowed only one free checked bag (because we had an airline's credit card) and one small carry-on. For anything else we'd have had to pay $50 per bag, so you may want to check with your airline's baggage fees.
Yes, it is getting crazy. I moved from Cali to Hawaii 10 months ago, 5 suitcases, 1 small crate and a car (and they do not let you put anything in the car besides the spare tire lol). Luckily batting doesn't weigh much, it's just bulky but oncy it's in the spacebag it's no problem.
Also as a resident flying Hawaiian Airlines into Hawaii and you act with "Aloha" you don't have as much problems either. We're all in the same boat...we live on a rock with limited stores and need to bring stuff in! :)
Also check at Hobby Lobby. They have 40%off coupons every week and they carry W&N and W&W. Every time freinds and I head to the border I stop in at Hobby Lobby and get batting in 10 yard lengths. You also might want to check Fabric.com, they have great shipping.
Just thought of something else for bulky items. We moved to Mexico with 4 suitcases and learned very early on to buy black foot lockers with 2 wheels at Home Depot. They are labeled as TSA aproved and we use zip ties to keep them closed with a note and extra ties in in case TSA opens them. Still limited with weight but they work really well with ligh but bulky items.
