    Default Printable quilt labels

I would like to find some labels that are not already colored in, another words just a black outline of a design; then I would either use crayons or ink pens to color in the designs. My reason, I just tried a downloaded label that was really pretty but the ink that I have in my printer didn't come close to matching what showed on the website. I suppose the off-brand ink cartridges I've bought, which are fine for most things; aren't good enough to show true colors.
I looked at several websites for quilt labels and found lots of cute labels but all were already with color. Anyone know of labels that are not in color? Sure appreciate the help! Chris

Is there a way to set your printer to just print black and white?

Setting a printer to just print in Black and White (greyscale) would just make the areas that were in color print out in different shades of grey.

Printing labels is a bit dodgey i find,i tried one that i found on video demo, and it got stuck in my printer what a mess!making your own with cotton fabric, and placing onto a sheet of freezer paper, glued it down as described.I have resorted to my sewing machine to make labels, the only problem is that the designs i have are a bit too big for a label.

I'm sorry I didn't post over the weekend, so much going on with the kids and Mother's Day. I haven't made good progress trying to get my computer to let make the labels I wanted. But I haven't given up! Hope to have some pictures to post in a day or so. I want everyone to know how much I appreciate the suggestions and links for help. Chris

Well, I finished the quilt label! Wasn't exactly how I had planned but I'm pleased with the outcome and had fun working on it. I had wanted to print the lettering and floral design but instead I had to trace the design then colored it with kids' Crayola crayons. The design came from my Electric Quilt software. Please check out my album at www.community.webshots.com/user/seweasy4me Look at the album marked New in red, it should be the top album on the left side of the page. The pictures are called Sarah's Dora Quilt. Sarah is my six yr old granddaughter, she loves Dora and was so excited when she found out I had this fabric; she then found the sequin fabric and asked if I would please the sequins on her quilt. What's grandma supposed to do but to honor a sweet little girl's reguest!!! Chris
